Hiya! There's loads of uni packing lists online, and I just looked at 2 or 3 different ones for some inspiration and to check I hadn't missed any essential things. I bought all my crockery for uni from a local charity shop so spent well under £10 on plates, cups etc. And all my bedding and linen also came with me from home! So I really didn't spend that much. You certainly don't need to spend much on stuff for uni if you're savvy about it :) Lots of people choose to but it's totally up to you how much to spend. I'd recommend looking on depop and vinted for some great bargains. Hope that helps!
hi there! apologies for not responding earlier, I've not been to check comments on old videos for a while - so thank you for your patience 🥰 My room from first year was not in "Trinity College" but in "Trinity Hall" - another college just next door :) Trinity Hall is actually older than it's more famous neighbour, and looks quite different on the inside! Both colleges are situated on the river and in the oldest part of the town, so the views are lovely from both ✨
Hi Annie! Hope you're well - and yes, I am so very very lucky to be in the position I'm in. My main tips would be the following: - get ahead of the schedule. Your school or college might have a timeline of when to start extra reading/supercurricular stuff, but try and start a bit sooner so you can be more prepared than the other candidates - do your research! Start looking at the colleges now and decide a shortlist of ones to consider in more depth to help narrow things down - understand the process of applying. that way you'll be prepared for everything coming your way and you will feel more organised! - take it seriously - don't muck about with things, do your homework and research, sort your application, and then enjoy the work as it all pays off :) - finally, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!! The fact you've already been looking on youtube at videos shows you're taking the right steps. Keep going ;) Hope that helps! xx

Hi India! Sorry for only just seeing your message. My room last year (this one) was £165 per week! Which I personally think is really good given how huge it was and that it had three windows). Most rooms at Cambridge range from £100-£200 per week.

Hiya! Yes most of the older Cambridge accommodation has shared bathroom facilities (toilet and shower) but this is cleaned every day and is only shared between 4-5 people, so is probably cleaned more regularly than most people's bathrooms at home! 🙂I did have my own sink so brushing teeth was not a 'public' exercise :) I have an ensuite this year as I'm in newer accommodation, so it was built into the plumbing.
@@ronyamostafi696 no it's totally private, locked doors with no gaps at the bottom or top :) It's a proper shower room and toilet also in it's own small room with a sink
