Over the years I went from being obsessed with Supercars and am slowly gravitating towards this whole scene. There is something very special about American muscle / sports cars. Of all years.
I have had plenty growing up. I have been a mechanic for 40 year's. I love cars and truck's period. But there was nothing like the true muscle car era.
My first car was a green ‘74 Duster with a slant six and my second one was a black ‘72 Dodge Demon 340 4 speed! That beauty is the best of both and the paint scheme POPS! 🤩
Cool car with the exception of the painted bumpers and the green color just my opinion but would have preferred black with white graphics chrome bumpers and black and white interior.
As much as I love Mopars, this looks like you'd have a fun Spring and Summer. Not too far into the future I'm afraid those bunch of "littles" would be a load of majors. PEACE from Philadelphia
@Mr. Logg I had a pretty special Mopar as a kid of 19 back in the'80's. That being a '71 Challenger R/T. It tended to be a little temperamental. (Weather, etc) but when that car wanted to run, my gosh, hold the hell on ! Low to mid 12's in the 1/4. Too much car for a nit - wit kid. But damn, did I have a blast. PEACE from Philadelphia
So I finally found where to go to get the engine size I raced one of these demons with a 360 in it ,back in 1975, I was in my 70 road runner 383 Magnum I feel certain his compression ratio was nowhere near my 10.5, but his demon weighed a lot less than my road runner anyway it was a dead heat!
Solid Lime Twist 71 Duster tho don't know why painted both bumpers & it has no horn or seatbelts it's. Mopar those most important thing 12:32 Nick famous test launch maybe even left some tire marks behind.
Sweet car I like it, thanks for bringing us along for the ride, certainly a mismatch of some parts but still kewl. The question is would you call the color the Dodge name or the plymouth name
@@dennisburt2410 no. The quality of cars and presentation speak for itself and is worth the asking price. Although he may throw in some paper floor mats if you’re reaaaaaaal nice lol
Interesting "resto mod" I guess it should be called. What model and year???? Who can tell with the Demon tail lights and Duster grill. I own a '74 Duster 360. By '74 the Demon had become the Dodge Sport. Tail lights were not like that, as they were made up of two chrome bezel single tail lights on each end, (my Duster has a large single tail light on each end). The front grill on this car is a very desirable 71-72 Duster Shark Tooth grill. Vinyl top has an odd trim strip placement on the rear sides of the roof. They sure did not look like that from the factory. Love the videos, and his honesty on all the flaws, but it's hard to understand what they were trying to do with this one. I won't comment on the pricing.
It has a 71 or 72 Demon rear end and rear panels and Demon decals so it was put together with a Duster grill. With all the things not working and the car pulling to one side I would stay far away from this wrecked Demon. This car was on the lot just 7 to 12 months ago. My first car was a 71 Dodge Demon, I raced it against Plymouth Dusters and other muscle cars at that time. This car is junk !
I have an in progress, (stopped due to a costly divorce) custom build project 1955 Chevy, big window truck that has been in my family for nearly 50 years. I am willing to part with it for a completed car or truck. I have 30k into it. I will not give it away, but will trade equal cost for value for a completed car or truck. It has chrome grill and bumpers with the wood bed. New custom frame 2x6 tubing, new high performance 425 horse 454 Chevy create motor, turbo 400 auto trans, new aluminum fuel cell, new radiator, new heidts suspension, new serpentine belt system, aluminum intake, new custom wheels and tires, headers, 4 barrel carburetor. It needs interior and body, paint and glass. Body is straight with some minor rust spots in the usual places but overall great shape. It just collecting dust and taking up room in my garage. It pains me to let it go but I am nearly 60 years old and am starting over financially so I don't see me ever getting it finished. I have two young daughters, but don't see any interest from them in my family truck. Reply to my comment if interested. Thanks
I hate to tell you people but that's not a dust that is a demon check the back lights. If they still insist on its a duster they'd better check the paperwork. Don't fall for the shenanigans.
It is what it is and he was honest about what it is. That’s exactly what I expect from him. He didn’t claim that it’s a real Demon or that it has a 383. It’s a cool looking entry level weekend fun car. It goes fast and stops fast, the two most important things.
@@boataxe4605 he is clear and honest that is why I am considering purchasing a car from maple motors. I see what I see and have an option. This is why it is the car that is suspect not him.
Why you would put the "Maple Motors" decal on these cars is beyond me. I don't bet, but if I *DID* bet, I'd say that 100% of the new owners *REMOVE* it.
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate .Again I find it extremely interesting because never have I seen any classic car with the name of the dealer on it, just saying. It's even rare to find one where the license plate frame may have the name of the dealer on it and I don't even recall any off the top of my head. And even debadging a car entirely is not all that uncommon.
This is not even close to a Plymouth Duster. I had a 1974 Plymouth Duster an it didn't even look close to this except for the body style this is a Dodge Demon 360.

Duster is a very underrated car. I have a 70 with a 440. In the same color combination. Beatiful!
Exhaust pipes sound incredible 😍
Dusters deserve more love 😎
Cool Mopar
Ok so the heater. wipers turn signals don't work does it have lights. Will it pass DOT.
Demon was used on Darts, and why would you put a 383 on a 360 car. The rear bumper is off a 1973 Duster.
I don’t normally like green or purple cars, but Mopar Muscle cars are the exception!
Cool car with the exception of the painted bumpers and the green color just my opinion but would have preferred black with white graphics chrome bumpers and black and white interior.

Looking awesome! I use to have a red 1971 Dodge Demon. I wish I would have never sold that car.
Right on!
Can you post a phone number. I would love to talk to you about the Demon. I have a few questions.
Love the mopars
I remember my neighbor had a yellow one just like that one with that 340 in it.
I took my behind the wheel test @ 16 in a duster just like that (no digital upgrades) in 1980.
Managed to pass (barely).
Pretty cool Nick Good price needs about 20 Geez
Demon with Duster grill.🙂
I’m a Chevy guy myself but I won’t mind driving that green beast though !!!
Chevys not special they break down to

Looks nice, I had a.71 demon 👿 canary yellow with black racing stripes I called it the big block killer 💯👍
UGH....I was going to buy this car if the horn worked...... :p

You say good shape, I say fair shape.
Give me a year Maple Motors I'm coming to steal one of those beauties from you!!!😀🤘❤
Color is incredible 😍✨
Beautiful car, just wish it was burgundy or red of some sort
As a former owner of a 71 340 demon I'm offended by the use on a 74 duster
That is a "Mean Green and Black Beast" I love it!!!
Had a buddy that had a Plymouth Sundance like a 73 only one I've ever seen.
Poor A-body. 71 Duster nose, Demon tail all on a 74. Someone did a lot of work to confuse people.
spent the cash too, but oh well
That car from here mixing up with duster as far as demon that car is suspect.
Love it! And love the boots! They’re really new.
Hope you get those cold starts soon. You are the absolute best, seriously.
Thank you so much!!

Speaking of the boots, are they Tecovas? I recently picked up a pair of the Bandera with the Vibram soles.
@@baptismos8969 see? Everyone loves the boots. Better than those sneakers you always wear lol
Looks like a 70 or 71 the tail lights and headlights were different in 74
Very nicely done duster 👍 👍
Looks good on camera

Hey Nick... wasn't this on the lot a while back??
Beautiful car. A shame there are some electrical issues.
A 90's early 2000's build! 😉
nah. later, the wheels the emboidery/dash lights sets it about mid late 2000s
Dang good deal there!

Supercool toy
Fuel gage says ‘oh 😮
I can't believe someone would ruin a nice car 71 grille from a Duster and 71 taillights from a Demon wasn't a Mopar guy
Ah who needs seat belts, wipers, or heat anyway
Sold, Sold, Sold, one hot sexy duster
Noticed the speedometer wasn't working on test drive has this been fixed
Love the taillights!!
I like it. the dash is like that cause it's posest
Needs some love but nice ride I have 4 of these 1970
Nick what size cam does it have
Sound great ❤️❤️💪💪
Another wicked ride from maple motors
Nice...

Last year for demon was '72.
Very nice car but who ever biuld the car was not as Mopar guy
Nice dodge duster or Plymouth demon, or both, Johnny cash car lol
Cool car but the builder put nice gages in but didn't wire the horn or wipers.... car guys need to get right.
when did the 74 look like a 71?
NICE car haha that car looks ALOT like "harry hecks " car ( bad guy from the punisher movie (2004)

BRUH, WHERE YOU GET YOUR CARS? PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW.
👍🔥😍🔥👍
how come when he mashes the gas paddle the car dose not catch up with the toyota celica
She’s a bit tappy or is that microphone harmonics?
I heard lifter or exhaust manifold leak sound too.
Yes MOPAR
That interior is as about as subtle as sequins at a minister’s funeral. 🤢. Other than that, I like it.
Mopar at Maple Motors
