I’m a massive die hard swiftie 😂 I think she gives her fan base just enough to feel like we relate to her but we don’t actually know that much about her she doesn’t really give us that information it’s just a lot of insinuating to things nothings ever confirmed and I think she kind of loves that because we know nothing as fact but she like drags us on just enough that we don’t lose interest. I’ve been here since day 1 i love her I adore her I think she’s talented and amazing and her lyrics heal me. However from a marketing perspective she definitely knows how to get money out of us she has a lot of different limited merch drops and all her variants and as a fan who doesn’t want to miss out on those cd only songs she puts alot of pressure on her fans speaking personally here financially to keep up with her and I think that’s a smart business strategy however as a fan I think she’s forgotten that without us she doesn’t have those awards and records broken and stuff similar that. I get really frustrated as a fan because she has a relatively young fan base and a lot of parents and young adults and students and things really stress out and because we want these things but it’s so consistent and so expensive that I feel she’s lost touch with her fans and stoped doing this because she loves us but because she loves the fame and money
And for that I have lost a lot of respect for her at this point it’s really hard to stay loyal to someone who doesn’t engage with us as much as she used to and is really after our money
@@phoebe-rose yeah i definitely think that the business model kinda alienates a lot of people!! you shouldn’t have to spend tons of money to feel like a “good” fan and i also feel like it encourages competition within the fan base which takes away from the music and makes it much more of a materialistic thing
