No, unfortunately neither the Quelima SQ13 nor the SQ23 automatically starts recording when they are plugged into a power source. Other cameras like the Quelima SQ11, SQ20, R3 or A3S start recording directly after being plugged into a power source, including car charger.

Thank you for your comment. I think the Fangtuosi SQ13 is the same camera as the Quelima SQ13. However, I have more confidence in the Quelima. Regarding the WiFi range, I do not know if it can reach 50m. It also depends on your receiving device. If you want to use a camera on your drone, I suggest buying something like the Hawkeye Firefly, combined with a video transmitter. I posted a video on this camera. You will still need to buy a video receiver.

Entre ellas; el sonido y la imagen no van sincronizados, además cuando grabamos con sonido, la vibración de los botones de la cámara con el movimiento cuando la llevamos en un vehículo por una superficie irregular, dejan grabado un ruido muy molesto. La falta de ventilación es otra cosa en su contra, se calienta mucho cuando graba más de 5 minutos. (Cosa mejorada en la SQ23, supongo). Y por último, la reproducción en el PC cuando conectamos la cámara, la transferencia de archivos es muy lenta. Probaré otras alternativas. Un saludo
@@rafaureba Sound and image are indeed not synchronized when using the Windows Media player. Try using the VLC player. As for the sound of the buttons, maybe one item is not well secured inside. It is also possible that the microphone hits the case. Unscrew the case and check if the microphone is correctly placed. Heat dissipation is a problem with the SQ13 as I noticed at the end of the video. I suggest drilling a few holes in the case. Finally, transferring files directly from the camera always takes longer. Try to transfer the files through an SD card reader or opt for a class 10 card.

First of all, I suggest using SQ23 instead of SQ13. All functions are the same except that the SQ23 has ventilation holes (better heat dissipation), a better sound and a magnet inside. There exists no motion detection on this camera. Night vision can only be started directly on the camera. There is no possibility to start night vision on the app. If you need motion detection, I suggest using another camera.
You need to connect the camera to the Wi-Fi and the app. Time and date are updated automatically. If you want to view the timestamp, go to the settings and activate the timestamp and the format to be displayed.
@@Meisech sorry bout being so late but just got the cam. I can seem to change the wifi name or password. I enter a new name but there is no enter or confirm promt and if i exit it obviously just cancels so.

Each of these cameras comes from China even if you order them from Amazon. You have to buy the card separately. A max. 32GB micro-SD card class 10 does the job. You need a smartphone charger equipped with a micro-USB connector.

I changed the wifi password of my SQ13 and forgot what it was. I pushed both buttons simultaneously, but that only shuts it down. I dissasembled it looking for a factory reset button, but i didnt round it. Any suggestions?
The camera does not have a reset button. The only way to change the password is only possible via the app, but if you can not connect to the WiFi because of a bad password, you will not be able to connect to the app to change the password. It's a real dilemma.

A 5-minute sequence equals about 1 GB. For a 32 GB card, you can store about 160 minutes of video footage. Note that when the card is full, the oldest file is overwritten. Also note that you need an external power source to record continuously during these 160 minutes because the battery lasts only 90 minutes. A class 10 card is preferable as the average bit rate is about 31 Mbps with peaks of 42 Mbps

I don't know how the app is working with an Iphone as I don't own an Iphone. On an Android device, when start recording without the app, the files are stored directly on the SD-card. When using the app and when recording on the SD-card, the files are located on the SD-card. When using the app and when recording to the internal memory (on Android devices), the photos are located in the /storage/emulated/0/DroneGam_WIFI/SportS_Photo folder. The videos are located in the /storage/emulated/0/DroneGam_WIFI/SportS_Video folder. Try to search for a SportS_Photo and a SportS_Video folder.

I do not believe you can connect more than 1 camera. Technically, it should be possible because each camera is identified by its MAC address, but the app can only handle one camera at a time.
The same as for the SQ11 (General - UVC driver). It is installed automatically when you connect the camera to the PC. I can not say if this driver is also working for Win10 as I use only Win7. Maybe you can get the driver from here : semantic.gs/general_uvc_driver_download
The SQ13 can be used as a dashcam, but there exists no motion detection. If you want to use a camera in a car, I suggest to buy a pure dashcam. Normally such a camera includes motion detection as well as recording and locking a scene in case of a crash. Have a look at my videos dealing with such cameras.
Both cameras, the 'Junsun S30' as well as the 'Vehicle Blackbox DVR' are not bad. The Junsun is recording in 720p while the Vehicle Blackbox is recording in full HD. I have problem.. when i record with wifi mode( i dont plug sdcard) only save to my phone, Audio dont work.. but when i record with sd card (record without wifi) Audio working
I did not notice that before. It looks like they've updated the app with some bugs. If you view the video directly from the camera, there is actually no sound. If however you download the file, then the sound is audible. But it takes a long time to download. So I suggest to transfer the files directly from the SD-card to your computer.

The password can be changed in the settings of the app, but I do not suggest changing the password and this for a good reason. Since the camera does not have a reset button and if you forget your new password, you can not reset the camera. You can only reset the camera using the app, but if you can not connect to the camera due to a password problem, logically you can not change the WiFi password.

So far, I have not found a way to reset the camera. I tried several combinations of buttons, but none works. I even unscrewed the camera to see if there is no button inside. So I opened the device, but unfortunately there is no more button inside. I think there is a script solution to reset the camera, but I do not know the syntax.

Two reason of this : either the Wifi on the camera is not working, or there is a problem with your phone. Try to use another phone. If the Wifi is still not displayed, than there is definitely a problem with the network transmission module. The camera acts only as an access point. Normally you also should see the camera in your network connection list on your laptop, but in my opinion there is no possibility to use the camera as a network camera on a Windows or Apple based OS system.
Hengki Agustian last option for you is to reset the camera.. Turn it OFF then press the reset button in the tiny hole.. if it still doesnt work Send it back to the manufactor..
No, as the camera acts as an access point. It is certainly possible to change the IP address, but the camera will not be visible in your network. Worse, you are no longer able to use the app. I suggest buying a real network camera like the 'Xiaomi Dafang' or 'Xiaomi Hualei' or better a pure ONVIF network cam available from $50 upwards.

Strange. Normally on power on, only the red LED should lite, that's all. Another strange thing is that a time file is written on the card. Normally the date and time are synchronized with the smartphone and there should exist no time file on the card. Are you sure you talking about the SQ13.

There is also another one called: "GoPlus Cam"(current Android ver. 3.0.2) which allowed me to change password (that was not possible with Sports DV) - i must mention thou , that mein doesn't have "Quelima" (other clone i guess) name on top, so maybe thats the reason.
I also can't in neighter of both Apps (no option)- only direct, manually and only when recording. It's cheap camera maybe in some future or alternative firmware it will work.

Don't buy the #SQ13 ! 1) It has no secure mounting facility while plugged to power outlet. 2) It doesn't have motion detection recording! 3) Its biggest problem is that it turns off when external power is switched on!!! It stays on when it loses external power but it switches off when power is back. Therefore it's not applicable even as a dash cam!!
So I think you use your notebook with a Windows OS. Normally when all the drivers are correctly installed, you should see a supplemental external drive letter. If no letter is displayed, than your camera drivers are not correctly installed. Visit my website @ www.cyanscorpion.com/cg035-software-and-manual.html and download the USBDview (32 or 64bit) and verify if the driver is present. You should see something like this : Port_#0004.Hub_#0003 USB mass storage device. Sort the 'Connected tab'. Disconnect and reconnect your camera (SD-card inserted) and check if the green light is going on or off. If the drive letter is present, simply open it and you can manage the files inside, use a viewer like ACDsee or open it with your file manager.

One more thing i saw a video about converting the battery into usb port instead to prevent overheating, can i also use it in sq13? Coz i think you need to turn the sq13 first before you can start charging it to prolong video capture or for ling drive as a dash cam.
Sorry, but I am really not a Mac expert and I'd never own an apple device, but normally it should work. When the camera is connected to an USB port, it is considered as a mass storage device. Concerning the heat : the camera always heat a little, on battery as well on an external power source.

I just got one. It won't record more than about 30 minutes in anymore no matter how large your SD card is. I've tried every setting. Lots of space left on SD card, but won't record. I have to format it after 30 min recording time for it to start recording again. There is no sound even though it states it recorded audio. It is jumpy in all modes. Not steady at all if you are moving. I tried it on my motorcycle helmet. It looked like I was surging up and down in speed as I was riding, but I wasn't. The blue sky washes out the image and looks bright white. Colors are off. Battery life is about 45 min and not 1.5 hrs. It is OK for logging in and viewing if you don't care about image quality and you are not moving or recording a moving object. Pretty much junk.
As it is a Chinese mass production, unfortunately, there are many defective cameras. Make a complaint to the supplier accompanied by a small video and with a little luck they will replace you the camera.

All the Quelima cameras can be used as a webcam. The SQ13 is similar to the SQ23, both WiFi cameras. IR-LEDs must be switched on manually.

When you switch from normal mode to night mode (yellow LED on), recording continues in this mode. The yellow LED remains lit throughout the recording.

The same as for the SQ11 (General - UVC driver). It is installed automatically when you connect the camera to the PC. I can not say if this driver is also working for Win10 as I use only Win7. Maybe you can get the driver from here : semantic.gs/general_uvc_driver_download

The SQ13 can be used as a dashcam, but there exists no motion detection. If you want to use a camera in a car, I suggest to buy a pure dashcam. Normally such a camera includes motion detection as well as recording and locking a scene in case of a crash. Have a look at my videos dealing with such cameras.

I did not notice that before. It looks like they've updated the app with some bugs. If you view the video directly from the camera, there is actually no sound. If however you download the file, then the sound is audible. But it takes a long time to download. So I suggest to transfer the files directly from the SD-card to your computer.

The password can be changed in the settings of the app, but I do not suggest changing the password and this for a good reason. Since the camera does not have a reset button and if you forget your new password, you can not reset the camera. You can only reset the camera using the app, but if you can not connect to the camera due to a password problem, logically you can not change the WiFi password.

Two reason of this : either the Wifi on the camera is not working, or there is a problem with your phone. Try to use another phone. If the Wifi is still not displayed, than there is definitely a problem with the network transmission module. The camera acts only as an access point. Normally you also should see the camera in your network connection list on your laptop, but in my opinion there is no possibility to use the camera as a network camera on a Windows or Apple based OS system.

No, as the camera acts as an access point. It is certainly possible to change the IP address, but the camera will not be visible in your network. Worse, you are no longer able to use the app. I suggest buying a real network camera like the 'Xiaomi Dafang' or 'Xiaomi Hualei' or better a pure ONVIF network cam available from $50 upwards.

Strange. Normally on power on, only the red LED should lite, that's all. Another strange thing is that a time file is written on the card. Normally the date and time are synchronized with the smartphone and there should exist no time file on the card. Are you sure you talking about the SQ13.

If you want to change the wifi access password and you are having problems. It won't accept letters. It will only accept an 8 digit number.

There is also another one called: "GoPlus Cam"(current Android ver. 3.0.2) which allowed me to change password (that was not possible with Sports DV) - i must mention thou , that mein doesn't have "Quelima" (other clone i guess) name on top, so maybe thats the reason.

I also can't in neighter of both Apps (no option)- only direct, manually and only when recording. It's cheap camera maybe in some future or alternative firmware it will work.

Don't buy the #SQ13 !
1) It has no secure mounting facility while plugged to power outlet.
2) It doesn't have motion detection recording!
3) Its biggest problem is that it turns off when external power is switched on!!! It stays on when it loses external power but it switches off when power is back. Therefore it's not applicable even as a dash cam!!

So I think you use your notebook with a Windows OS. Normally when all the drivers are correctly installed, you should see a supplemental external drive letter. If no letter is displayed, than your camera drivers are not correctly installed. Visit my website @ www.cyanscorpion.com/cg035-software-and-manual.html and download the USBDview (32 or 64bit) and verify if the driver is present. You should see something like this : Port_#0004.Hub_#0003 USB mass storage device. Sort the 'Connected tab'. Disconnect and reconnect your camera (SD-card inserted) and check if the green light is going on or off. If the drive letter is present, simply open it and you can manage the files inside, use a viewer like ACDsee or open it with your file manager.
Meisech thank you for the reply. I am using an apple macbook pro. Does it work on a mac or just windows? One more thing i saw a video about converting the battery into usb port instead to prevent overheating, can i also use it in sq13? Coz i think you need to turn the sq13 first before you can start charging it to prolong video capture or for ling drive as a dash cam.
Sorry, but I am really not a Mac expert and I'd never own an apple device, but normally it should work. When the camera is connected to an USB port, it is considered as a mass storage device. Concerning the heat : the camera always heat a little, on battery as well on an external power source.

I just got one. It won't record more than about 30 minutes in anymore no matter how large your SD card is. I've tried every setting. Lots of space left on SD card, but won't record. I have to format it after 30 min recording time for it to start recording again. There is no sound even though it states it recorded audio. It is jumpy in all modes. Not steady at all if you are moving. I tried it on my motorcycle helmet. It looked like I was surging up and down in speed as I was riding, but I wasn't. The blue sky washes out the image and looks bright white. Colors are off. Battery life is about 45 min and not 1.5 hrs. It is OK for logging in and viewing if you don't care about image quality and you are not moving or recording a moving object. Pretty much junk.
As it is a Chinese mass production, unfortunately, there are many defective cameras. Make a complaint to the supplier accompanied by a small video and with a little luck they will replace you the camera.
They should do it with 60 FPS..
