You, Goldie, are a force to be reckoned with. Shine for the star that you are, an immensely talented young lady and an outstanding role model. Looking forward to witnessing your rise to stardom. Love from a little old lady whom: a) loves your music, & b) lives by the motto “Healed people, heal people”
Spotify gave me Cowbody Gangster Politician as a recommendation. 2 days since that now i can say i am a legit fan of yours. Many pieces of your story, sadly, coincide with my own. Very inspiring to see a woman my age being so raw and open, and unbelievably talented. Cant wait to see more of it.
Gouldie, you are one of my favorite artists, I felt I already knew part of your story through listening to K town, it is a poignant song and hearing your story told so openly really solidified what a great writer you are. You are a strong woman and artist. Thankyou for sharing your story with us. I wait with baited breath for what's to come!
No shame, Goldie. Diamonds are made under pressure from the darkest material. I'm the words of Chinchilla (another incredible artist), you're "a mother fuckin' diamond!" Thanks for having the courage to SHINE! 🙏😁💗💖
I’m 24 and only just starting my music career. I went through a lot in my childhood/adolescence and want to leave a positive impact on the world by sharing my story of healing. Thank you for being brave enough to share this. Please know that you are inspiring the next generation to stop accepting this bullshit from the industry.
This is my album of the year❤ i am madly in love with emerald year and cowboy gangster politician The vocals, the melodies, the lyrics But above all with your authenticity Thank you❤
its my birthday today, this is the greatest gift. thank you for sharing not a story but your life in the most beautiful way imaginable, for now i know i am not alone.
You're a warrior, and it can be heard in your voice. I just found your music recently and I'm so glad I did! Such charisma and depth of character and fight and style and pizazz. True art. Thanks for this, it's inspiring as your music is.💗✨
The wrong people always look for you. But the best people will always find you Goldie. You have a lovely sound and vibe. Your listeners wish you nothing but positivity and good vibes. Keep being Goldie not the generic sound being churned out ❤
Goldie, this is so beautiful. I discovered your song "Morning" a few years back, and just recently came across "Cowboy Gangster Politician". I too have wanted to release music for a very long time though life always seems to have surprises for me. I do my best to take a step towards it everyday. Hearing your story is absolutely healing, and a fantastic motivation to keep going. I hope you are incredibly proud of the art you're sharing and reliving. It must not be easy, but I hear your whole heart in these songs. Thank you ❤
Ahh! My heart! I am smiling reading this comment. If you feel like you want to release music it, do it !! Don’t wait for the perfect time or song, it’s a process. I have written so many shit songs to get to the good ones. Sending you lots of ❤️ and encouragement
Hello sweetheart, I m sorry you ve been through this all, you have my sympathy and you know you re alone. I ve been through similar situations but I m fine.I would love to have your talent in music but that's OK.Spending you love ❤🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
How brave of you to tell your story! Thank you and know your not alone , you have managed to cultivate Resilience to overcome adversity and i have the greatest respect for you,xxx
Thank you for sharing this story of your life. I have enjoyed listening to your music for over a decade and love that you are choosing to share such personal parts of your experience, but I'm sorry to know some of them have been so horrible. I listened to Emerald Year for the first time today, but expect to listen many more times.
Spotify recommended Pretending & I cannot stop listneing to it. After a few days I just had to Google the creator of this gem of a song. This story you have chosen to share in your documentary will propel so many women forward in their healing journey. Thank you for being such a brave & generous person.
Thank you for sharing your story to help others, it’s not easy and can slowly change the world. I always admired the storytelling of your work so much, the song ‘Morning’ initially hooked me, it’s filmed so beautifully and always gives me confidence - ‘Touch you where it hurts’ is the most rare gem I’ve seen and ‘Cowboy, gangster, politician’ helps me relax. They are epic pieces of art you created for future generations - keep going! to the moon and back 🙌🔥
That's a beautiful video. Thank you for not giving up and the new music you're producing. It's honest and true. Looking forward to hearing your album :)
What a great exposé. I really love some of your songs, after seeing a snippet on IG I came here to hear more music. Entirely your own thing but evokes some of my favorite music. The song Cowboy specifically. It's great. Can't wait to hear more!
wow i wish i had watched this earlier i've just absolutly loved this album and it is one of my all time favorites. The emotion, feeling, and beauty of it is just amazing and i see where it comes from now.
Being in battle with oneself, I know that so well, always, long conversations with the talent that lies in waiting beneath the surface life... Knowing you have to break free of your own restrictions... Being reborn by whatever means, we always know it's on the cusp.... We wait to fly.
hey goldie, sorry my english might not be good. but, recently ive been looking for some 2010s stuff to revisiting the early days. then i remember tht one song from collaboration with cobra starship? called '1nite' and ive been wondering where is this girl name 'my name is kay' now. so few months ago. i found your new stuff. 'i love you' by goldilox is such a top tier. ive been jamming on it all weeks now. btw, we proud of you for sharing your story documentary here. this was such an inspiration story. keep going girl. sending good love and well wishes to you all the from south east part of asia, malaysia. thank you 😊❤🎉
Oh Goldie!!! I'm sorry this world is wild in the bad way sometimes and they came for you. I still listen to you on repeat and will be happily waiting for your album/projects! Thank you for still doing your thing and being open with us, because you're definitely not obligated to. I don't personally know you and I don't want to be that cringe person, but I have love for you and your artistry. From the looks of the comments we're all ready for you and care. ♥
Beautiful video & message. Your voice is almost haunting... I love it. I wish you health & healing. If you make it big (which I think you will!!) I hope the piranhas & the black souls in the industry leave you alone. New fan & subscriber. Heard one of your songs on a TH-cam Short. I'm so grateful to that channel otherwise I wouldn't have ever found your music.♡
Ive been listening to your music for a little while because it was shared by a friend. I dont know if I paid much attention to the fact that you were from Cape Breton. When I watched this a few minutes ago and it showed the clip of you when you were younger, I got chills like the turning point in a novel. I always wondred what happened to you. There is both sadness & beauty in this. your music is incredible.
You are a huge inspiration to me❤ I'm also from NS and I can see a lot of similarities in our stories. I also left NS and focused on my own art and goals, it looks like I am living my dream life and I am, but only this year I am realizing I have also endured emotional/psychological/sexual abuse. Thank you for sharing your story. I listen to your music almost daily, especially loving the new one "Pretending"✨
I am in tears reading your comment. Just by reading this I can already tell that you have a super power to be empathetic and sensitive to others. You’ve already turned some of that pain into something so pure. Sending you big ❤️
I discovered you through the atmosphere of Cowboy gangster politician and it instantly haunted me, kept playing it again and again. I moved to Paris at the time and felt overwhelmed by the city, and I was having anxiety attacks from a recent relationship... But the song made the feeling of loneliness disappear. So sorry for what happened to you, you obviously are very brave for what you share and talented for how you share it. Thanks for existing Goldie 🫶
Thank you for sharing your story! You are never alone and your experiences in life are never to be ashamed of. You made me love your music even more than I already do. You are telling powerful stories with your writing and music, which resonates with a lot of people! You are loved you are appreciated, you are strong and you are seen! 🥰
You’re such an amazing storyteller. It is unfortunate that this is the story that you have to tell, but it just shows how driven and strong you are as an artist/creative
I’m so sorry for some of these horrible things that happened to you. But thank you so much for sharing your story and perseverance, you’re so inspiring. Working as a domi in LA isn’t escorting tho? Like I’ve done it and yeah they pick you up in a minivan at the corner of Vermont in ktown near a dennys but like I didn’t see any escort work in that environment? Like maybe some girls turned tricks with dudes they met there but it’s not happening in the ktown Karoke bars. And most escorts aren’t picking up dudes as a domi? I’ve known escorts in LA for sure and that’s a whole game - my best friend (RIP) was one - but it’s totally unrelated to domi work. I just don’t want people to think that most domis are escorts bc we aren’t. I know this is a very niche comment to like probably 100 girls - maybe 500 max - but like let’s please not represent that entire industry as escorts when that isn’t the primary function of the job, and doesn’t often happen. Like for me it was one of the most surprising things about the job - I for sure thought men would try stuff and I was ready for that - but honestly? Most were gentlemen and the driver of the van never even hinted at that let alone required it. I honestly had a great time it was a fun job and I made good money doing it! Funny thing to think I was prob working the same time this chick was. I just think it’s a dirty thing to throw all of us under the bus calling us escorts when that wasn’t the work at all.
