It just isn't the same without standing in line for 30 minutes, letting the anticipation build and build, then getting on the ride, letting the anticipation build and build, and then suddenly realize how long you have to wait to hit the drop, and begin dreading it and regretting all of your life choices up until that point, and then reaching the drop and feeling like your about to fall out of your seat.
Aghhh real! I go here every year, and yet I still get butterflies while waiting dreadfully but excitedly in line, have a great time on the nice scenic ride, tan totally regretting going on as you’re about to hit the drop! I love snata Cruz!
I use to come here on the greyhound bus every memorial day weekend in the late 1960s and early 1970s. They still had the Disney-like gas powered Autopia cars running on a concrete track then. They took that out when they expanded the east end of the boardwalk and added the log flume. I miss the Wild Mouse though. Never rode the log flume before but I just moved to a place only several miles away from the boardwalk, so maybe someday...
How scary is it? I’m generally not very good with rides but it doesn’t seem to bad can someone tell me if it’s scary preferably form someone who’s afraid of rides?

Growing up they used to have these bands on summer nights and it was awesome. This ride was definitely my go to and probably why I love Splash Mountain so much lol

30 minutes? Even with a really long line it took like 14 minutes

Amazing that there's a flume ride right next to a river with an Old West period of having flumes. Cool!

the only scary part is the drop,and Its terrifying because you feel like youre gonna fall out of your seat but other than that Its light work
There’s no seat belt but still not scary!

One of my favorite rides over there at SCBB. My overall favorite is the Giant Dipper wooden rollercoaster

I remember going with my dad a year ago and the ride felt as if I was going to fall off my seat when we dropped 😅
I absolutely hate the Velcro that this ride has as a “belt” like I had to grab so hard bc I literally was about to fly off when it dropped
Interesting ride. Really emphasizes the views. It looks like it would be that hard for the logs to bump out the flume though!

this ride is scary if you think about it, what if you actually fall out your seat during the drop

Ah, Santa Cruz Boardwalk... the poor mans six flags, but man, on a nice summer day, its a great place to be!
