Enjoyable video, glad to see you're keeping the video genre alive and well. Makes me almost to go out and get back into the time-lapse road video game
Thanks man! I hope to see some new videos from you in the future!
4:02 You're behind my car! Well, sort of. I own a Mitsubishi Mirage, when I was in Texas I only saw a single one. So seeing one in your video is quite neat! That's not my exact car though. They must be flying to pass in the left lane there.
I drove going east through El Paso on I-10 East in June 2018. They were widening I-10 like you see now back then but for some reason I assumed they were widening it all the way to the border where it picks up the six lanes to Las Cruces.
What an amazing ride through El Paso TX along interstate 10
Thank you!
Nice video, though you have shown El Paso before. Having driven to Dallas via I-40 and U.S. 287, I can state that everything-including the interchanges-is bigger in Texas, and that Texas roads are in a perpetual state of construction-especially in Dallas! And if you see that "Beaumont 852" sign? You have a LONG way to go before even getting close to the Louisiana state line...
The El Paso area also lacks a lot of the retail outlets that are well-known in Texas. There are no H-E-B supermarkets, let alone a Buc-ee's supersized convenience store, in this city. I think if they ever build a Buc-ee's in El Paso it would be on the junction of Interstate 10 and Horizon Boulevard just east of the city limits of El Paso itself. Mind you, due to its close location to the Mexican border, security at this Buc-ee's will have to be quite high.
Wow 852 miles to my hometown
El Paso is closer to Beaumont, California than Beaumont, Texas!
@@InterstateKyle that is true
@@InterstateKylecrazy drivers in my city
You should do the Katy Freeway next! Interstate KS was originally going to do the Katy Freeway in Season 5, but unfortunately, the footage was accidentally deleted.
I really wanna visit Houston someday and that freeway is right at the top of the list.
@@InterstateKyle The Katy Freeway is the widest freeway in the USA and connects the western outskirts to the heart of downtown Houston
@@InterstateKyle 2025 video except in your huge 2022 Season
Oh, yes. It's time to travel back in time to your 2021 trip to Texas and the Great Plains and back to California. I-10 through El Paso County, TX sure is busy. An essay alternate route is to take TX Loop 375 around the city, but not along the Rio Grande and Mexican border. Also, congrats to TxDoT for planning to wide the portion of I-10 west of El Paso from 4 to 6 lanes!
I went through El Paso twice, the speed limit was 45 for a work zone. I went 45. Semi trucks where passing on the shoulder, and cars where honking, it seems like when the limit is 45, they double it.. Maybe I went the wrong time of the day?
The rest of Texas I was able to sit back at 55 MPH more relaxed! (:
Feels like they're going to need another lane on that westernmost stretch of I-10. Looks like NM might be adding the third lane on their side.
1:50 ok maybe I'll watch the whole video before I comment
I remember this video from 2022
Do you have any plans to visit Southeast Louisiana and Southern Mississippi?
So you're remixing your older videos from the 2022 season? There was some great videos like the one from El Paso to the I-10/20 split that had a great soundtrack to help boost it. It's still one of my favorite videos of that season for that reason.
If you ever returned to Texas, you still have Houston & parts of Southern Texas to explore. Again, the state's highway system is so big, you'll need multiple trips to the state to experience them.
PS, yeah TxDOT is in the process of widening I-10 to the New Mexican state line. But just to let you know, they already widened the Interstate from Loop 375 (where in the video the freeway narrows to 4 lanes) to Exit 37 (the exit with the Love's) right before I-10 goes into the openness of West Texas.
Not all of them. Just some of the ones with copyrighted music. The video you mentioned will be staying live for the time being. I don't plan on remixing that one due to how long the video is.
Looks similar to Tucson
I can see the resembleance.
Why are all the semi-trucks in the two left lanes in Texas? Are they not allowed in the right lane?
I think they just wanted to get through town and avoid the exit/onramp traffic.
East of Beaumont the 18-wheelers drive in the #2 (middle) lane of I-10. That's very annoying.
Interstate 10 in Texas is 880 miles long
A long drive indeed!
You should make your own music for your videos.
I really wish I had the talent to do that.
How do you secure your handycam in car to record you trips?
I use a suction cup mount for the windshield
I was wanting to know what exact one cause I just got a handycam and you video looks so stable. Been watching you videos for a while now. I wanted to record my travels just for the family.
I-10 from the hot desert to the swampland.
Big change in climate there!
This video is nice but like you said! Outdated!
Nowadays, the American State of Texas has become so well-populated. According to the latest population statistics from the men and women of the 🇺🇸 Census Bureau, Texas' population density is greater than twenty-six of the forty-eight States of the Union with land-area sizes smaller than of Texas 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬. ¶ While they're driving out on the wide-open roadways, I can picture Kyle, his grandfather, or both, listening to the sounds of Marty Robbins' sterling vocal interpretation(s) of the classic song "El Paso" coming from their car radio 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃.
