I think he wanted to side with the guy just because he did right by the kid in the beginning. But that has nothing to do with what happened after. Judges DO give ppos to the person requesting it & will drop it when the other person responds. The reason he got to keep the kid that same day is "possession is 9/10ths of the law". Unless there was something already issued by a court previously, they usually give custody temporarily to the person who comes in with the child.

He was incorrect tho. You don't have yo hand any evidence in Ky. All you do is go fill out the application and 30 mins to an hour later they bring it back stamped and signed by the judge. Now if you have evidence on the tenth day for court you get to uphold it.
I know from personal experience. When I was young and dumb I had a baby with the wrong one. He was abusive in every way. I had evidence and was able to keep it. At the time his mother kept my daughter in the evenings while I worked. I had him banned from my job, my parent's house, my apartment, as well as his own mother's house, bc that's where I dropped off and picked up my child on a weekly basis 5x a week. But they most certainly didn't ask me for evidence. I believe he dismissed her case bc she wanted to continue to correct him. She should have left it alone and got to the part of him destroying her and her daughter's belongings. They need to stay away from each other and co-parent.

Seems like her ego was the issue. After all, she was suing for bleached clothes. Whether she was right or wrong about the order had nothing to do with proving he bleached the clothes. Yet people laugh when I say I'm 41 Single without Kids....Shout Out to this Black Man for stepping up to protect his Child #Brooklyn #NYC #NoKidsGang #GigoloGang
I’m 35, no children and single but people look at me like I have a problem. I understand your comment totally
She made him wanting to step up to be a father a bad thing 😒🙄
Melanin Unicorn 💯❤️
No she didn't. She was stating facts. she said it was causing a rift in her relationship, however she decided that it was the right thing to do and gave it a chance.
@@jasonito23 she leaped around a ton of facts, actually.
Yeah she did and it was soooooo wrong too!
@@jasonito23 She was in a relationship and got with him who was also in a relationship. Can't put the blame on a baby because you decided to step outside of your relationship. Should never deprive a child of their other parent because of your wrong doing. I would see if he was a busove towards the child but he wasn't.
*Watch your mouth!* My mom used to say, “are you calling me a *liar!?* “ ......uhhh I’m going to shut up now. 😂
I'm glad that the law is recognizing what women are doing wrong as well.
I know in philly you can get a protection order with no proof or anything and you'll get it that day. I know cause my baby mom did it to me after she kidnapped my son
That's a TPO not a PPO.
Women have weaponized the court system, and their own children, against the same men they laid down with...
She is absolutely right. They will grant a TPO based on someone's statement whether true or false. There is usually no hearing to get both sides until the court date
She messed up when you tried to challenge Judge’s authority in his own courtroom. Not smart.
Even if the judgment was premature, speaking with the judge like that won’t win him over. You’re disrespecting him by trying to teach him something he’s been doing for 30+ years. If you’re able to talk to him like that, I can only imagine how you would talk to the defendant.
On top of that you got pregnant by him while you were in a relationship. Which put question to your character. Plus your ex is apparently in prison for whatever reason.
Come on man🙄
Judge mathis is that one uncle that you never know if he's gonna have an attitude, tease you till you get pissed then chide you for it, or be the most fun person in the room. 🤣
Judge mathis is so wrong. The guy was clearly in the wrong for damaging her stuff. He should of had to pay. He base some of these cases off of emotions and I don't like that at all.
Maybe he didn't help her cuz he believe that she hit the guy and judge Mathis is again violence period
The judge was right and he based it on the LAW....
Her tone was disrespectful. She was condescending and curt - it did not matter if she was right or wrong, she was disrespectful
@@enichols3245 I agree her tone was disrespectful
I have definitely seen ppl lie and get an emergency PPO until the actual hearing
True but he can't just not take the order into account and that's what this lady asking him to do.....u a male bro....in what courtroom can u stand and beat a female and tell a judge naw don't believe that anybody can get that order lol......so y should she
People seem to play the system in the USA giving the police a lot of unnecessary work. It seems it's the person who can lie the best wins.
Did I miss something? Her case is dismissed because of contempt?
This judgement wasn't based on the law but on emotion. JM is ridiculous sometimes.
This is one abrupt ruling that I don't mind. The plaintiff called the police on ol' dude too swiftly and often. Even used them as a threat 'he got intimidated and gave me my keys back'. I can't tell what she lied about and what was true but she did lie some so 'false in one, false in all'. She could have contradicted the Judge in a less confrontational manner if the truth was on her side. Oh well, no one likes you anyway so kick rocks.
i really love this judge and i binge watch daily, he tends to be so ego driven at times.. she was right, i’ve seen kids being taken away from good parents with no evidence or explanation. just false claims from people who envy the parents.
I believed every word that man said!! He tried to call an Uber and she did not want him to leave. Hitting him with phones. No ma’am. Get some self esteem, a good therapist and learn to love yourself first! Jealousy and possessiveness is poison. Sad for that little girl.
Judge Mathis is getting just as senile as Judge Joe Brown 😔
So instead of conceding to what the judge said so that you can move on to prove your case regarding bleached clothes, you decide to argue with a judge about a protective order!?
TRO's are handed out like candy, esp when children are involved.
"You don't talk to the Judge like that, Contempt!!😂😂😂
