    Hi Taufiq, I have recently revised SQL using your videos. This is an appreciation comment. I am so happy that I discovered your channel. The concepts are way more clearer now. all videos were easy to understand but special mention to Joins,cte and windows function are the best videos to refer to. I have made hand written notes while revising them. I feel more confident now. Now all I have to do is practice, practice ,practice. Going to suggest people to definitely stop by your channel and learn. Kudos to your hard work and knowledge.

    Hi Thoufiiq,
    First of all, thank you very much for the amazing content.
    I was trying to practice all the things which you taught in this video related to views and i realized that some of the rules does not apply in MSSQL .
    For e.g. 1. You can change the order, column name, etc in view. But I guess that is because we use to create or alter command as there is no replace statement.
    2. I was able to update data through view even though I was using joins in my view.
    Just wanted to share my findings.
    Waiting for videos on materialized views.

    • @mritunzaysingh8978
      @mritunzaysingh8978 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Please check one more time If you make some updates with join in view then please check there are some changes have made on base tables because if you update view which based on 2 tables then it mismatched the data in both the table.... I think that is why we use triggers

    • @shivampatel6044
      @shivampatel6044 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rules are differ from one dbms to another dbms. Even i have the same query initially.

    • @arindamsaha1929
      @arindamsaha1929 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      in second point which you mention you are able to update a view where you use join, i think you are update those column which is present in one table , if you want to update a view which has column from multiple table then you got an error to tackle those situation we have insted of trigger.
      please correct me if i'm wrong.

    Hello sir, loved the tutorial, i have been following your videos to learn SQL.
    Just a few things that I wanted to ask:
    1) What is ::? I am not able to understand its functionality in my SQL, it doesn't work. Not able to find any documentation as well.
    2) I am able to change column names, add columns in between columns in my 'create or replace view' queries. Both rules don't apply in my code. Am i missing something?
    3) I am able to update my views which are made of multiple tables using join. Again, is something wrong in my SQL?
    Would really appreciate your response over this. 😊🙏

    This comment is not meant negatively, hopefully it will help you for future videos: your English is very good so I couldn't understand why you kept saying VEEV instead of VIEW. Good luck

    hey! Thoufiq, Can you please review different websites like sqlzoo, sqlbolt, leetcode, stratascratch,hackerrank,mode etc. and tell me which one is the best to practise sql?

    • @techTFQ
      @techTFQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Reviewing all these platforms may take time for me .
      I would suggest that you start with StrataScratch, Leetcode and any other platform where you can find free options. Once you solved free questions, you will get an idea yourself which platform has good questions. then you can purchased the paid subscription.
      Just my suggestion

    Now In MS sql Server, view created using multiple joins are allowed to update, and order of columns are also allowed to change. Can you make a new series with updated concepts. Thanks for the series it is really helping to learn more clearly.
