Love and respect.. me personally see lots in indirect ego and arrogance in the sound system world.. too many times it’s just one man who wants to be the main star attraction.. selecting and operating and holding the mic for the whole session sometimes 9-12 hours is just hogging up the limelight.. begging it for fame..and the jigging up and down like a kangaroo infront the system But you still need other man to carry the box and equipment when the session finish.. the only man I rate for sound system in the uk is the one and only JAH SHAKA for being the original one man operator for years .. I don’t feel that ego in him and I’ve met and greeted him a couple times and reason and chat with the man and find him to be a humble roots rastaman.. You have one plastic cockroach headed dude living in Amsterdam talking about he’s a rasta, but talking the most shit .. neil who stands in front of some pa equipment and claims he’s a veteran sound man with king shiola .. he may be playing roots music ect ect and dealing in peace and love ect. but I still cannot listen to him, I find him annoying and fake.. I most probably sound like a judgemental cunt who attacking innocent people who have done no direct wrong to me, to some extent I am but who hasn’t got bits of negativity within themselves I’m just pointing out my observations my views can change and I’m not trying to be hateful either. most of the time I go to work and try to get on with everyone if possible, I would not be so forward to go and say what I type and think when it’s negative.but feel ok to type it here I myself have annoying ways and even fake ways but if you see it and put it to me I will be the first to own up to it. I just human after all is said and done.
