In the last decade, triple-pane windows have taken the lead, especially in the world of high-performance construction. This rise in entirely due to the industry’s often singular focus on, or at the very least, skewed importance of u-values - this decade’s “it” term in fenestration. But as we’ve focused on third panes and u-values, have we lost sight of other important features?
While most (read: not all) triple-pane windows deliver more than their dual-pane counterpart, exactly how much more do they deliver - and at what costs?
