Great video and thanx for posting the "highlight" of the Bonzo Bash!!!! Jimmy POUNDED on those drums & truly paid tribute to Mr. Bonham! Worth the price of admission! I hope he does 3 or 4 songs next year & can't wait to hear him w/ the Lynch Mob soon!
WOW!!!! That was awesome JIMMY D!!! I remember when I was a Freshman at Montebello High school in marching band. I met JIMMY D. at the ELECTRIC PLANET (arcade) had my pair of sticks and I would show off my rudiments. Lol!!!
Jimmy Rules! Awesome someone caught this video of Jimmy surprised I was in town shooting and talking at me at 4:02. Ha! Love it!! I have Bonzo photos posted at Facebook at SavoiaPhotographyLive
@@morbidmanmusic Show me your video. Only a few, if any, can play like a genius. I've played drums for 45 years and have become proficient at it. Some people have it, and some people don't. Jimmy is different. If you don't see that, maybe you're not looking.
He did everything Bonham never did - bash the shit out of the crash cymbals, hit the gong for no reason, playing quarter notes w/right hand when it should be eighth notes...fills were wrong..Some "tribute"..
I mean you aware the Bonham played it differently than the record probably nearly every night? So this is definitely in the spirit of Bonzo and Zeppelin in general since they liked to stretch out a lot of the time.
Drums sound great, BUT...you can't get LUDWIG vistalites for a tribute? Natal? Really. That should say LUDWIG...fake it, paint over it...details man...this guy was all over this song...great energy and style...a rock drummer doing his thang.
said it before....and i'll come here and post again...........D'Anda....Grooves just about more than "Any other dude", who played in the Bonham thing. he just simply has 'the feel' and body-force', the way he swings those sticks and 'plants them firmly' where he want's them to crack. so many other 'big names', came on this joint, and just.....well..........sucked. this dude, Owned it. search him playing "Royal Orleans" in the 2012 or '11 event. guy is a beast. and i remember him from the Bullet Boys. just a bad ass.....
You have no clue do you...you wanna see the closest drum playing to JHB the King 👑 search out "Dazed and Confused" play by Mike Portnoy...that's the only one who gets what John Henry Bonham was all about my friend!!!
Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! Oh my god! That there is the stupidest thing I’ve EVER read on the internet. It has taken many years. I will remember this day. I will put it in my calendar. Bonham could still out play him lol!!
Why are they even doing this shit ? I don't fuckin get it…Bonham is lightyears beyond legendary proportions…no one will forget, don't need to be forcefully reminded by some clown getting behind his set up & the other clowns playing guitars thinking their all cool..This stuff just has such a bad feel to it...it's so beyond excessive
your an idiot. Bonham was really good ( i love his playing and feel ) but so are a many drummers out there He just played in a really famous band obviously your not a drummer you want a great 70's drummer Phil Collins blows Bonham out of the park This singer actually blows away Plant
Why? Because they are fans to, and as professional musicians they are doing their shit. Jimmy D is a great drummer and he is enjoying playing with other good musicians (including Mick Sweda) playing for fans who are enjoying the music. Honoring the music, and playing for the fans, good times all around.
Simply the best for the style. This guy is the best of the LA drummers in rock.
This was the best groove I've heard of all the drummers over the years doing the Bonzo Bash
What groove??
I've said this before, Jimmy has a very distinct style. Precise, Clean!! Puts his entire body into it. I've always loved Jimmy.
Krásné bicí !! Jimmyho sice neznám, ale zahrál to excelentně a se vším, co k výrazu skladby patří !! Díky, pane !!
Phenomenal drummer met him at namm. And saw him at this exact show for bonzo bash. Super cool cat
Love watching Jimmy play drums! He is amazing 🤩🎶🥁⭐️
Jimmy D'Anda is so fucking cool, love the way he plays
Nice job, much better groove than most I've seen on this series.

Jimmy Rules! Awesome someone caught this video of Jimmy surprised I was in town shooting and talking at me at 4:02. Ha! Love it!! I have Bonzo photos posted at Facebook at SavoiaPhotographyLive

Fucking killer! Jimmy D'Anda is a beast!
#BonzoBash!
He can groove no doubt !
This guy is a fucking beast
Who was he mouthy 'I love you' too?
And what happened at the end?
Probably Mick Sweda on the guitar, they played together in the Bullet Boys 👍🤘
Carmine is ok! but Bonham blows him away no contest!
You're so stupidly exaggerated.. you don't play,... if you did you would see how you shot yourself in the foot.
Is that James Lomenzo on bass?
the tongue!
He's a genius
That is so,dumb ! He's a drummer playing like another. How do you get genius??nYou're certainly not one based on that.

I thought the exact same thing. It's a lazy interpretation.
I mean you aware the Bonham played it differently than the record probably nearly every night? So this is definitely in the spirit of Bonzo and Zeppelin in general since they liked to stretch out a lot of the time.
$200.00 per hour I will pay for some lessons. I live in OC. will travel!
Have a coke and a smile..... hehehee
.... "and shirt the fuck up"
-. The late great Richard Pryor....
Ronnie James Dio on drums

Try again
Complete Showman........That's it. Tommy Lee...........
Dude has no swing to his playing. Hardly any of them do. All they pick up on is the power
Carmine Appice is a better drummer than Bonham was.
they were friends.and similar styles.
Yes, carmine certainly thinks so. What a joke

Bonham is very lucky to have been remembered so well because all these guys kick his butt as far as playing.
Todd Lavigne You started that comment really good, but you finished talking out of your ass.
