Not sure why the reference cards needed spaces for decks at all. Why not just put them on the table like for any other game? Oh well, looks interesting, though as usual the 4 player limit makes me sad. Thanks for the review!
Hi fellow DnD players. I have a simple questions about general rules. Let's say that in phase Move, Karkoth player moved his pieces into (my) Vailin territory and I have pieces in that territory. Now is on me to move my pieces. Can I move my pieces from that exact territory and run away before 3rd phase - battle or I must stand my ground and face the enemy?
Put your camera farther and zoom it in. So that way, it will have a lot less trouble auto-focusing when you want to show something up close. Say, you have your board at 3 feet and then you show a card at one feet from the camera. That's three times closer and the camera adjusts very slowly. Now, if your camera is 6 feet away and zoomed in, you show a card up close from 4 feet away. Auto-focus will have a lot easier time to adjust and the angle of view will be exactly the same...
This is Axis & Allies with a twist (event cards and a need to be offensive and clear dungeons too). I like it, War of the RIng 2ed is much bigger and more complex, better yes but this is ca 2-3 hours not ca 4-6h.
How does this compare to Quest for the dragonlords? pretty similar arent they? im planning to get quest, but i stumbled into this. i can find quest much much cheaper though in greece i think that quest is rarer and so much older! yet they are similar.
Axis & A 1942 2ed is between the bigger 1940 games and the very simplified 1941 game. Like the old classic 1942 with map and unit changes. Fun but still dicerolling is key...
Incredible game, one of the best to come out in years, allows for many different types of gameplay including short breakneck races to get victory points. Have played it twice one in an alliance game and once in an free for all and both games have been very enjoyable
WotC has really stepped up to the board game "game" (see what i did there ;-)) This and Lords of Waterdeep has really shown that there a lot of things that can be done with the D&D brand for a boardgame. It does not all have to be the dungeon-crawler type games like Caste Ravenloft, i hope to see more like this from them in the future.
Think 40k did that already with their partnership with Fantasy flight with games like Relic, Deadfleet, horus heresy, diskwars and games like that. Though the card game spell fire that D&D put out back at the time of beginning of magic probably should have propelled D&D much harder into the cross overs if they weren't in such bad states at the time.
I won't give you a hard time about pronouncing fantasy names, but I am compelled to point out that the plural of "die" is "dice". Great review as always!
First "Risk-style" D&D board game? Try Greyhawk Adventures: Wars. ...or, wait, on second thought, don't try Wars. Best if it is lost to the mists of time. :P

I have a question. Have Castle Ravenloft and the two sequels been discontinued?

Whoah huge component drop. His daughter in that helmet was the best thing ever, hahaha
how would you rate this compared to runewars?
why not scan the back of that card, and print a copy for each player? home = free, kinkos = 50 cents.
In your opinion, is this redundant if one already has War of the Ring, Middle Earth Quest, or Battle of Five Armies (or all 3, and others)?

She was very cute and surprised the hell out of me.

We are so twisted here in Saskatoon that we would immediately be mixing which two factions would be allied. :P
can you make an axis allies 1942 review?
Thank you for the great review, I can see by the amound of games behind you, how much experience you have with gaming.
3:13 The Tomb of Horrors!!!! Quick, get a 10-foot pole!!!!!!
nice review...I'm now considering getting it.

This game looks much better than I expected.
I suggest one just makes a copy of the back of the (reference) card.
please review shogun by queen games!
Thanks for your video!
My God, Tom, you look so young in this.
So in other words, not yet : ) I think that would be a shame. Castle Ravenloft and the others are really nice games.
+1 for the kid having an R2-D2 t-shirt...
..uknow, as opposed to a jar jar t-shirt...
Eh... she has a helmet... :P
I cringe every time you pour out the pieces. If I did that I would lose a dragon or something cool for this game. Great review!
Great review. Look forward to more.
Wow he's gonna give up shogun for this game, i don't know about that but i wish i had seen this review before i went out and got Wrath of Ashardalon.
Why is Honey Boo Boo at the beginning?
that's his daughter.
Don't think so, flags near me carry them all still.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not Saumuari Swords!
This game looks like Axis & Allies.
Both wizards of the coast games.
...and now Tom has bought Ikusa, a reprint of Shogun which doesn't have the swords. Never sell your favourite games! NEVER!
What?
Didn't you buy Ikusa? I think you said so in the review.
I got Ikuza, but I kept the swords.
Very wise decision. They are so cool! The are coolest turn order markers in the board game world. :) *samurai-sword poke*
Was looking at some other videos. Then I heard that girl and was like "What the hell?"
So young u are)

the elves and humans have a stronger position then the undead and defiantly the orcs. orcs have the short end of the stick.
