Why not do an ending scene with them all cleaned up and a final view of everything you got that day?

Hi Ian, thanks for your question. Well, we both work full time jobs, and sometimes in our hurry to get a new video out we go with what we have. Hansen creek trips start at 0430 and end at 2200 for us, since it is a long drive and long hike in. And the crystals are so dirty we want to clean them up before posting. We know we're not famous, but we do want to try and put videos out every week. We just published the first part on cleaning the crystals, a few minutes ago. The second part will be out soon. Thanks for watching. We hope you stick around for more!

If someone is mildly afraid of heights do you think the slope would trigger it? If so, are there small pieces to be found without going far up? I'd love to go but I'm worried I won't be able to go up very far.

Hi Cori, that's a good question! So after you walk about 60-80 minutes up the main trail, you come to the area where people start finding the crystals. This is the steep part, but you can find nice crystals near the trail, including amethyst, but there just doesn't seem to be as much. Most likely since more people have looked there. But take a look at the hill, and see what you think when you get there. Chris wears cleats to help keep his footing, but that's because of the loose gravel. Even though it's steep, it's still a hillside. If we slip or fall, we just slide on our butt until we can start up again. Head up there and check it out! You may find it's not as bad as you think... But wait until the snow melts.

It usually takes us about 50 minutes to an hour to reach the base of the area that you dig in. I don't know how far the actual distance is. You will see the gravel trail leading up the hill on the right of the trail. It really stands out.
