    I love to quilt. It is absolutely like therapy for me. I have LOTS of rulers, and I pretty much use them all for various projects. I also bought a Janome 1/4" foot! I have not used it yet, so your video is very helpful and inspiring!! That quilt block is GOR-GEOUS!!! Well done!!

    There wasn't anything on TV yesterday, and I had some leftover pink neoprene, and some zippers I got in a package at a thrift store, so I made a zipperd pouch. My first zipper project!
    Good stuff, thanks.

    I love the magic pins. My fav ones for quilting are the forked ones. They are wonderful, but I have them all. I do need something to make my foot pedal be still. I've got a new ruler ordered that's suppose to make doing HST much easier, so we'll see. I love quilt block !! Right now I'm stuck making bunny rabbit Easter bags for grandchildren and the kids at church. I had never made this pattern and had no idea all the steps involved when I offered to make all of these. I'm so over these bunny bags by now that it's not funny.... And I have 15 more to go. Lol 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Thats wierd....I finally got a few things today on my list.
    #1. 2 spools of rainbow serger thread for using on upper looper for neckbands. I've been looking for awhile and finally found some locally
    #2. Flexible measuring device, searched four different retailers and finally found them in stock. (I don't like buying online if I can avoid it prefer to shop bricks&mortar stores.
    #3. Rolled hem foot for the janome. Lost it somewhere. Now that I finally replaced it, I'm sure it'll suddenly show up.
    #4. Several chalk markers.
    ...
    Something I've been making recently out of stash of single quilt blocks made over the years that didn't go beyond the one block is.... Bowl warmers or bowl holders or whatever they're called. I usually make three different sizes. One block on the inside one for the outside with scrap wadding in the middle. I've hacked Helens closet free pdf pattern into three sizes and removing the four points to make it more a flatter hexagon shape.

    Thank you so much. I’ve had a Pedal Stay for years and hated it because the pedal just slides around the mat. Your video showed me that I was missing the Velcro on the pedal. Mine didn’t come with Velcro or any kind of instruction so I didn’t know that’s how it worked. I had adhesive Velcro in my supplies and now my pedal stays put like it’s supposed to. ❤

    Fun video 🙂 I've been hearing about those magic pins lately...might have to try them. I only use Creative Grids brand rulers- I find they hardly ever slip - I also set a 5lb weight on the far end of the ruler when making long cuts. Really helps. Oh, and I put ruler guards on all my rulers for safety (on amazon they're listed as "O'Lipfa rotary cutter shield")

    A lot of these tools look amazing! I need the thing to keep the pedal from slipping! I thought it was going to be really expensive, but it’s 15.99 right now 😱 I love those zippers! One of these days I’m going to order a whole pack. .50(ish) cents a zipper isn’t bad! I think my sewing store has them for .25-.75 each. But the ones you showed are so cute! I definitely need to try those pins out!!!! I normally go for clips, but sometimes you just need pins!
    The grip stickers for rulers are so helpful! I have tremors and would not be able to cut anything out without them!

    I do have a question for you.... I have the exact same sewing machine as you do. I have just finished my first quilt top (a King size!) with it, and I am getting ready to bind it. Should I use my walking foot to attach the binding? Also, can you share the link for the actual 1/4" foot you bought? I was looking at mine and it is not Janome specific, so I want to get one that is and I want to make sure I buy the right one! Thank you!!

    Who the heck pins when they’re doing piece work? You should be using that acorn precision glue. And every single time you put your pin into that pin cushion you are dulling the point.

    • @trinam2503
      @trinam2503 ปีที่แล้ว

      For those of us on a budget, the Acorn Piecing Glue gets expensive. Pins are a once a year or every couple year purchase. And whether or not your pin cushion dulls your pins depends on what its filled with. Walnut shell will actually sharpen your pins.
