I used to watch you paint when I was up too early before cartoons were on. It was always relaxing, and your voice was soothing in an early-morning-quiet house.
This type of painting is NOT easy! And it takes a lot of practice, and maybe even some special paint and brushes. I'm on a tight budget so I am practicing using just whatever cheap flat brushes I had and my winsor & newton paint mixed with cheaper acrylic paint to thin it out, and wood glaze as a medium. It's not terrible, but it's not easy. I feel like I'm going to have to buy brand new supplies for this, and I need a lot of practice, I'm dyslexic so I keep blending the brush opposite and go into the wrong colors and muddy up my brush. I love this technique SO MUCH it's so clever and I desperately want to learn and be able to do a decent job because it will help my art work so so much! and save so much tedious time blending manually, especially digitally. I really want to invest my time into this, I'm going to try to get proper brushes and paint too.
I agree. I'm beginning, and I have all her brushes and supplies, and it still isn't easy. I'm determined to learn it though. I even have an OSCI coming over in about an hour to teach me the technique.
Monica Flick thanks but it wasn't Thicket back then. It was rather a brilliant Green which is no longer a color that's available at Michael's Arts and Crafts. I Thought if someone remembered the actual name then I could search online for it.
Hi Donna.... I have taught your techniques for many years..some as MOSTS program. It has been a long time since I have seen you whether PBS or shopping channels. Are you going to be doing new programs? If so. when and where? I have missed you!!

Kathreen Margaret she usually uses thicket.
