    Hey keithy, it’s max from All 4x4, love the video mate! I couldn’t help but notice that you may have the chain on the wrong way round, that could be the reason it is not cutting as well as is could? Super common and I’ve done it many times myself, and I’m a tree surgeon😂 give it a try, it will transform the saw!!!
    Looks like a decent bit of kit tho, I’m tempted 👀

      G’day Max! Cheers for the message 😀
      I though that might be possible too, luckily the blade of the chainsaw has a little diagram that shows the direction and pitch of the chain. This time was just a case of needing a sharpen 😂
      If you’re in the market for a power-saw, definitely check this thing out 👍🏻
      Cheers
      Keithy

      @@Keithy_W Easy to see this took a while even after speeding the film up noticeably I will stick with Gas this was not an impressive looking saw maybe should have cut that bit and sharpened and re recorded Just saying

      I’ll wear that one. You’re right, I should have sharpened before the demo 👍🏻

      @@Yoakee1 saying that tho, even the most powerful petrol chainsaw can cut like garbage if the chain is blunt, or the rakers haven’t been taken down enough🤷‍♂️

    Great vid, thankyou. Does it leak bar oil when travelling?

    • @Keithy_W
      @Keithy_W  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate 👍🏻
      The bar oil stays in the chamber of secrets between uses. There must be a valve in there or a pump activated by the chain movement.

      Cheers Daryl! Glad to hear you made a solid choice 😀 not that the Stihl is a bad machine at all. It’ll go well with your other Ryobi gear 😎

    Do you have to hold the top button the whole time you are using it?doesn’t that start to feel quite unnatural?

    • @Keithy_W
      @Keithy_W  ปีที่แล้ว

      G’day mate, no no, that’s only to activate the throttle control. Once it’s spinning, the main trigger is all that’s needed.

    Whew Keithy , you're going to have the OH&S warriors onto you now with your mining background!! Chain sawing in thongs and no safety glasses over your eyes! How dare you!! As an aside to a previous comment I made Rangie wise, the Autobiography is already giving it to me-no aircon and its "leaking somewhere." My joy has started. As an administrator on the Range Rover forum has on his page "Landrover-making mechanics out of motorists" Sigh.

      Haha you nailed it mate! Waiting for the flogging 😂
      Oh dear, sounds like you’re having fun with it mate. I’m sure you’ll be right onto it in no time, as we are all mechanics 😝
      Take care mate 👍🏻
