As a DIY'er/tradesmen/maker/boyfriend who up until this point had no idea what acrylic nails were or even where to start......this video is hands down the BEST I've seen so far. Straight, to the point, the reasons and why's for the products. Can't wait to give my girlfriend fantastic looking nails. The biggest thank you. 🙏
Quick note on the MMA, we had a gal at Nail School who gave it a try (against School recommendations) and the allergic reaction from her nailbed caused all her nails to separate from her fingers and burned the tissue to the point Doctors were saying she'd never have nails again. Don't mess with the stuff even if it 'dries quicker' or is cheaper.
Thank you, I'll definitely be avoiding that kind of monomer.. I'm just starting out and I am busy compiling a list of things I need to buy next month and I am making sure to add details like what to avoid...
I wanna cry! Omg... I'm at a loss for words how the timing of your videos series couldn't speak louder or shine brighter! Thank you bestie for this in depth (❤NO MATTER THE LENGTH❤) Beginner Friendly Journey I'm about to go on with such amazing help from you all! I will definitely see what questions I can put on paper!! Thank you again! Xoxo! Can't wait for the next video!!!
Easier to cross the border and for $ 10 dollars get the nails done, it would save you time/money/space to store all the supplies, thats what my sister does anyway
I struggle with having a consistent nail shape, and length. Sometimes one nail would be coffin and another would be slightly square. And i would find it difficult having all the nails the same length.
For the length here’s what you do: Do one nail and file it down to the shape and size you like then put it against the same nail on the other hand to see if they are the same length!

Hii! my moms a nail tech her self and I follow behind her! For starters use a file , don’t use a drill!!!! you should practice all shapes on a mannequin hand or on yourself , it’ll help a lot on finding which shape you’ll want each time you do your nails
My questions is about the cuticle area, I can never get it to look nice and seamless. Help!..btw, I’m so glad you made this video. Your technique on liquid to powder ratio looks flawless, can’t wait to try it. Thanks 😊
I always want ti learn to do nails and this is a great video. I started researching few days ago and I appreciate you taking the time to share you knowledge and experience with us
my biggest thing has always been removal and cleanup. so maybe that can be a 3rd video or something. not knowing how to remove safely and how to properly clean up has always scared me away from doing Acrylic nails
I struggle with powder to liquid ratio, I've gotten so much products to start doing my own nails and I'm struggling. Just a view products that I've gotten Valentino, Mia Secret , Kiara Sky, Naio Nails, Not Polish and Young Nails to just name a few....
Hey there. Very thorough info. Super informative. I do my nails at home and will definitely be using your tips to do mine. Thanks a bunch girl. Great video 😊👍🏻💅
Omg!! This video is it. Omg thank you thank you. U You just confirmed that the quality is very important which is why I get fustrated when my nails don't come out like how I like (beacause its cheep lol) but Thank you very informative!
1) Shape and uniform length 2) clean and precise cuticle prep and acrylic application (with and w.o efile) 3) building the apex 4) correct thickness for nails Thats what ive gotten so far from the comments.
They are all things you have to learn through practice, that is why they skipped over all of y’all’s questions asking these same questions, especially building the apex. You have to learn by doing not by someone telling you
Thank you so much, I just bought my first acrylic kit to move on from polygel as it just takes so much time and doesn’t allow you to play with colours as easily
I’m always having trouble with the bead. It’s either to dry r to wet. Once I can get a bead worth working with then I pretty much got the rest. Thank u for this video. I will be practicing the way u do it. Ur so thorough and I luv that about u and this video. New sub right here. Will be watching all the rest of ur videos to get caught up. Thanks again!!! Just bought a bunch of stuff 🥰 I’m so excited to try it out!! Clarissa 💗 im just starting to get into acrylic nails and I purchased some sale items off kiara sky. My items came today, 💗 shaped styrofoam 💕 i love it! Thank you for the videos
Thank you for the education. You will be my new bestie thats for sure. I have been using Kiara Sky gelly tips with a lot of glitter... been wanting to try the acrylic system.
- how can you get acrylic off that accidentally dried under the nail? - how do you safely get acrylic off that dried on the side of your finger? - also how do you remove acrylic that dried on the body of the brush? obviously i’m getting acrylic everywhere LOL
For under the nail you can file it off And for the finger you can use some acetone but make sure you try not to get it on your finger because if your skin keeps touching products it might develop an allergy And for the brush you can soak it in acetone and then use a wooden stick and run it across the brush and then wipe it with a tissue or paper towel and how long you keep it in the acetone depends on how much there is in the brush I hope this helped
Use monomer to soak the brush that has dried acrylic. If you use acetone, you'll dry out the brush and end up ruining it. Basic rule you learn in school.
thank you so much this was sooo helpful! i feel like i can finally get the bead correctly now! questions - proper way to clean the brush, recommendations for efile what brand is good? any tips for left handed people? thank you!
Hi love, yes we always recommend using monomer with a purple tint to avoid yellowing. We also learned that using a dirty brush can cause clear acrylics to yellow. -Leticia 💕
This clearly takes a lot of skill, patience, hand eye coordination, it's not for everyone, I can see most people who try this, buy all the supplies, trying it a few times with their fam members/friends and give up after a few months.
You’re absolutely right-it does take skill, patience, and practice to master! 💅✨ But with dedication and the right tools, it can be such a rewarding experience. 💖 Everyone starts somewhere, and even small wins can lead to big confidence! 🌟
I will continue to watch y'all videos because am so in love with nailsssss 😍 and this is so funny I got to know this page because of the giveaway and I was like I have to look on there youtube channel for tips to do nail

My question is about building a perfect apex.
That's exactly what I was going to ask!! Where does it go??!! And can you address the cuticle area? How thin is too thin?!
If they don’t answer, young nails have a lot of videos on both of y’all’s questions
So you put the bead in the middle of the nail and push a thin layer gently back so hat you get a good apex
yesss
@Delmer Singleterry omg
EXACTLY what I was looking for!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! ❤️
What I’ve learn from your videos so far is powders to liquid ratio it’s really helped me a lot with my application 💯💕

I struggle with having a consistent nail shape, and length. Sometimes one nail would be coffin and another would be slightly square. And i would find it difficult having all the nails the same length.

i struggle too!! maybe if i get a drill instead of a file that will help lol.

It's really helpful for me.. thank you for making video for beginners...
Excellent tip for having different size of beads 💕💕💕💕 Thank you for sharing this video🥰
My question is how do you keep your brushes so clean
Same!!
I’m battling with this
How do you even know the powder is original before buying
Why does my tissue or clear a rut get stuck in my brush... how do I maintain a clean acrylic
Soak them in monomer liquid
Cleaning the cuticle areas without hurting the client
Im having trouble with building the Apex and making the cuticle flush to the nails.
First build the nail then the last bead of acrylic you use to build the apex.
Me too
Me too more so the cuticle not so much the apex
Definitely the cuticle area and the apex I keep messing up
Also make sure that you tilt the finger down so it doesn’t flood the cuticle as you place the bead near the cuticle.
I struggle with the cuticle bead. I can’t get that clean cuticle when doing acrylic and when my nails grow out it’s not clean near cuticle
Me too
The same here 😢
