Do you think their real target is the secondary market sellers like The Real Real? THIS 24:25 THIS is such a good point. The secondary market has changed so much after social media became more dominant in the 2010s. I have in fact refrained from selling my 20 years worth of luxury bag collection because the market has become so volatile in many ways, making it riskier not only to buy for also to sell preloved high end bags and other fashion items.
Thank you all for coming together and sharing your stories! Putting together and posting videos is a labor of love and to have them taken down for no real reason is very frustrating. Stay strong and keep up the great work❤
They need to come for those DH Gate videos if this is in fact the brand behind striking videos. I’m so over those raggedy videos coming up as options to watch (no shade if buying replicas is someone’s preference).
Thanks so much for coordinating this discussion, Jen! I’m blown away that this is happening … hopefully this will spark a wider conversation on this topic in our community.
I believe if they trademark or copyright, the content creator can counteract with the fact that they bought the item and are rightful owners of the item and can do as they please…….
I have never understood how replica/counterfeit videos are allowed. They are blatant counterfeits. I just watched a Birkin one the other day and wondered why it was allowed since counterfeits are technically illegal.
Sadden that this is still happening... Chanel has been doing this "consumer-silencing" act on social media for sometimes, now LV is following suit. These multi billionaires really have the power, money and time to track and silence on us common people who's just trying to share a view, review, opinion on our social media platforms. Truly a bully. More strength to you ladies, and us, the common everyday people!
I just seen another video where another small content creator said the same thing she did a current update of her LV collection that was doing well in views and she got the counterfeit email.
Vote with your money, we can stop buying from these brands directly. And let them know why. Buying pre-loved at least puts a little money into the previous owners pocket.
This is so disturbing. I do take issue with promoting counterfeits but this seems more like violation of free speech and anti trust/price fixing. We should be allowed to sell and buy items secondhand . And to discuss it. I wonder if YT does any real investigation before they take it down. I’m much older and I can remember when in the US it wasn’t as common to purchase designer goods. Social media has helped, not hurt, the brands. Bags and accessories are the cash cows.
Online info via a video on recent changes/improvements to popular bag models that are frequently copied could be seen as informing and empowering the counterfeit market to keep up with changes or conversely could be an issue for counterfeiters as it informs the public to help distinguish fakes. Information is power in many ways and in time maybe brands just want the public to experience product in their stores or on their or other authorised websites
This happened to @amberashleigh as well! She posted a video about it and she suspected that the removal was due to comments on the video posted by counterfeit bag companies.
so i feel like maybe the fashion houses do not want creators to discuss all the features and changes to the bags because it gives the replica makers the upper hand in making the changes to keep their items as close to the real thing...
Not the problem. They have the materials and designs for real bags to make copies. They don't care what is posted. They are way ahead of the game by paying people off from the real brand.

I think they are trying to discourage the TH-camrs who buy the product, do a video on it and then return it.

It's all totally crazy, and yes - hopefully this conversation can help the community somehow!
TFS this great information. I can’t believe LV would have TH-cam to take down creators videos especially when they’re showing authentic LV products.
I believe if they trademark or copyright, the content creator can counteract with the fact that they bought the item and are rightful owners of the item and can do as they please…….
Yes but TH-cam doesn’t always side with content creator, especially if you have a smaller channel

Thank you so much Jen for helping us share our stories!! ❤
So disappointing that a brand would do this to content creators. Thank you for joining!

Love Alyssa and her channel! Interesting video
Thank you for watching!

The answer is yes, brands do that all the time, which is silly too. Content creators are giving them free advertisement. 😁

It does not. Replica makers and the brands are working together….believe that.

Great topic TFS❤
With the introduction of AI I think we will be seeing much more of this!
Hi Jen! Great video!! You are a natural! Come do LIVES with me! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Winnie that sounds fun!!! Hit me up on Instagram!
I report those comments on videos that are advertising dupes. Do you think that has anything to do with it?
Really not sure...
lv is full of sh**! if they are silencing micro influencers with lv bags then why not silence or remove other bigger youtubers that unbox lv bags.
They want no one to know how to buy good fakes or pre loved. They want you to buy new. Their stock is dropping…
LV needing to be canceled is way over due
Is this video going to be taken down bcause the pochette metis is on it? 🤷🏻♀️😂 TFS!!
