I wasn't sure if distance or the boss' movement affected the timing, but sometimes it felt like it, or maybe I was just not good at it. I could just be overthinking, but any advice is appreciated!
Distance to target creates a short delay in timings. If you practice while trying to "feel" the differences in distance from when you start the next loop, you'll master it in no time.
Looks like the cooldowns in this game arent as bad as they are in FF16 where they completely put any combo flow on a halt until Clive has recovered his eikon abilities

@@ekosubandie2094 you can check ingame. When it's maxed, cooldowns are reduced by a total of 20%, which I believe is 40 levels worth of sigils? With Tier 4 sigils, that'd be 4 sigil slots worth as seen on the showcase the night before the demo went live

I really enjoy the game, i think it has some good dopamine hits and i'm curious how builds, weapons and abilities will affect the gameplay, but i don't disagree. The kits are very small and easy to optimize. It's my biggest criticism. I'm hoping that that a future version adds to the kits to make them more interesting to play. I don't think any game like this, whether it be God eater, toukiden, soul sacrifice, etc had a "great" first game. And even they had a good one, they are usually just straight up eclipsed by their sequels/ updates.
I think relink will be a starting point for a better future game. Like in the updated MHGU, greatsword got that charge in the adept style dodge. Huge change that made that specific combination more fun to play. Even with games that had incredibly small gameplay changes, like Dark arisen, you had rings that would augment abilities, completely changing how they are used. The worst thing that could happen is that they just add DLC characters without updating the gameplay. I don't think they need to add much to get from good to great. Just 1 more layer for each character to optimize. @@bkbrent
The kits are simple for two main reasons though. 1 being the target audience. They may not want to admit it but mobile gamers are not known for execution or reflexes. They don’t want their existing players to feel intimidated, the game has a built in auto mode for mashing and a literal super auto mode where only directional inputs are needed. The second being that they don’t want you to have a main. They want you to play basically all the characters at various points due to their kit fitting certain fights and their elements matching enemies. This feeds in to the first reason as they don’t want players to be scared of learning a complex play style for 20 characters So sadly it’s not likely this game gets more complex with sequels. I also don’t expect a sequel anytime soon based on their post launch plans. They are more likely to just patch it for as long as it makes money.
I agree, but i also don't think you are giving them enough credit here. I think if the game is financially successful they already have plans for some paid expansion/ content update. Like if they never added at least ONE ability to a character post launch i would be shocked. I also don't think it necessarily needs major changes to add complexity. Simply having abilities that are hard to optimize or require you to be creative would solve a lot. Like TCS in MH is ONE move but it's incredibly difficult to hit and very satisfying. It Really wouldn't take much. They can keep the game the exact same but add 1 or 2 abilities that require you to use your brain and the game will appeal to almost everyone. It's not a matter of if they could, it's if they will. For now at least, i have mild hope they will. Hell it could already be in the game and we just don't know it yet cause we don't have the full thing. Or the simple kits are made for much harder fights. You never know. I will hold out hope. @@SH1NK1R01
It would be even better if you could freely change the character's skill attributes, such as electricity, ice, fire, wind, light, darkness, and nature.如果可以自由改變腳色的技能屬性,電,冰,火,風,光,暗,自然,那會更棒。
There has to be more than this. It seems very shallow and simple so far. Hopefully, we get a skill tree for each character that allows them to learn more moves. I also hope this is just an early game enemy you are showcasing on like normal difficulty and that later enemies on higher difficulties can be far more complex and aggressive. That said, the animations look stellar considering this was developed by a company that only has done mobile games.
