This was so satisfying to watch. I know zero about Chanute, but hearing him connect with the audience like that was extremely enjoyable. Good comedy is like having a conversation with the audience.
The entire world needs to see this. This is some of the best crowd work I have ever seen. I dont use this word very often but I consider him to be a genius level comedian.
I've never seen a comedian handle heckling so well, he just made it into such a fun crowd interaction experience for everyone as opposed to most comedians, picking fights with people and making everyone uncomfortable.
This wasn't really heckling. These were just people getting a bit loud. There are people at some comedy shows who intentionally try to fuck with the comedian the whole show and deserve to be embarrassed.
@@roarbertbearatheon8565 isn't funny according to your standards? Get over yourself guy. I agree if it's painfully obvious, like a hack singer. Many people thought Brody Stevens wasn't funny. RIP-BS
I was loving this but then when he did the "I smile back" i cried, hand on heart i cried...one very funny guy...defo like to have a beer with this guy and the crowd. Thanks for the laughs.
+Matthew Dickerhoof Agreed... I would literally lose my mind sitting trying to watch this show. Not only rude to the performer but the other audience members as well.
Well his comedy is awesome, but recent reports suggest he is a bit of a troublemaker however I don’t let that media stuff change my opinion of him. I’d buy him a drink.
My friends and I took a shot every time he said Chanute and we all passed out after 10 minutes except for my one buddy who is a maniac. He made it until 19 minutes in. Or so I was told. Lol
Love you, T.J.! You are SO patient and professional dealing with that crowd. They were so rude talking through the whole show. They must not get out much because they don't know how to handle themselves at a comedy show.
eve lee I thought the exact same thing! I mean, they were having a great time, drunk, probably overly excited because he put on such a unique show for them...but some were definitely rude. And he handled it like a true pro!
He went on that show where they don’t have written material and they are fed random topics and have to make up material on the spot. He did excellent. Anyone who can do that is a boss!
Just saw him live at the Comedy Zone this weekend in Jax, Fl. Needless to say if you see him live, he encourages you to get drunk enough to not remember much of the set lololol. What a legend!
He forgot to say any jokes. But it was still pretty funny. I was mostly impressed at how much he had to drink whilst still being able to stand up and talk.
As a texan whos mother is from chanute and i visit often i relate to the "you cant talk about chanute to anyone" everytime i try to explain it nobodh understands xD
Isnt TJ Miller the mutha effin' man! I was looking to see who posted this, Chanute Kansas posted it. Im a new subscriber. I'm gonna go there the next time TJ is booked.
tj miller's so fuckin hilarious and his comedy routine so funny cuz 95 percent of stuff that he's talkin about is true and has actually happen to-em. there's an old sayin that iv heard over the years from alota different comedians and that old sayin is the funniest stories are the true stories and the shit that has happened to-em in there lifes
So good!! 👏🏽😁 Who are your top 3 favorite comedians as of today? Obviously the list can change over time. TJ Miller is for sure, on my top 3 list of favorite comedians. I don’t think I can pick any one comic and label them as #1. My 2 other favorites at this point in time is Bill Burr and Tom Segura. Eddie Murphy is up there, for sure! I know that makes 4 but whatever.
Segura is my favorite. However I think TJ Millers “Meticulously Ridiculous” was one of the best stand ups I’ve ever seen. That asshole from Sioux Falls that he was talking about on Stephen Colbert didn’t know what the fuck he was talking about. TJ is a boss.
TJ Miller is hilarious, but I feel like not being from Chanute was a real handicap to me enjoying this show. It was still funny, but I had no context for much of it.
I'm also very disappointed, I wasn't expecting a video published by a channel called Chanute Kansas, with a comedian performing in Chanute Kansas to have content about Chanute Kansas.
It was ridiculously left field. A total grease job. Just like how you said it was. A ruse of the highest order. I guess I've just never seen anybody do such location specific material, and I wasn't expecting it. Perhaps the Chanute's should have been a red flag, but if I saw a New York Channel publish a comedian performing in New York, I wouldn't assume that the whole set was New York specific and that I wouldn't get much of it if I wasn't familiar with New York.
You have to watch this with Google Street View open in another window. You can cruise up and down Main St. in Chanute and take a gander at everything he's talking about. Really brings it home.
+Derek Holcomb You either lack basic comprehension, or you didn't watch the whole performance...01:15:47 Did you stop watching The Usual Suspects halfway through and then spend the rest of your life wondering who Keyser Soze is? Are you also unsure of Luke Skywalker's relationship to Darth Vader? *Why does everyone think that I'm Tyler Durden!?*
***** I have no respect for people who ask questions which are answered in the video. It's lazy and shows a lack of respect for the artist. Do you think T.J. would like it if an audience member yelled out "what's with the spray bottle!?" in the middle of his act?
***** I subscribe to the belief that people should pay for their stupidity. Ask a stupid question, you deserve the answer you get. However, I can appreciate your opinion. Perhaps I was a bit harsh.
My boyfriend is from Pittsburg KS. He is a psychopath named Fowler- but that’s besides the point, does anybody know who TJ Millers relatives in Pittsburg are?!?
Amazing show! He's awesome at crowd work, not too many hecklers. Most comics would have been a dick and bombed on purpose to waste everyone's night. Louis CK's head got too big because he talked shit to the hecklers instead of wise cracking a better come back. True talent this man has! Fun fact, Kansas is only 7th in flatness on this earth plane, Florida got you beat.

Thanks for the upload Chanute Kansas. Love TJ Miller
