Classic movie. The scene in the boat with Robert Shaw telling his WW2 story was amazing. When the shark hit the boat and breached the hull was a classic moment in movie history.
What's interesting is that in 1916 New Jersey, 6 people were killed by a shark or sharks within days of each other. I believe 2 kids were attacked and killed in a river a short distance from the original attacks. One of the resorts refused to close the beaches saying it was an accident. sounds familiar to Benchley's book. I saw this film on opening weekend, the theater was packed and some people couldn't take it and left.

The music during the barrel chase scene is adventure music 🙄 it could also be classed as swashbuckling. Jaws is not a horror movie.
