What 'For the Strength of Youth' Looks Like

- Plans have been announced to expand a youth conference program for Latter-day Saint youth around the world. The international For the Strength of Youth (FSY) program of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been operating outside the United States for more than a decade under the direction of area presidencies and area leaders. I just came back from FSY, and all I can say is that it was the most amazing experience I have ever had. I progressed so much spiritually, and as a group we became stronger and closer to Christ. I don't know I anyone will ever see this, but I cried just watching this video, that's how much of an influence it has had on my life. It is so amazing and my testimony grew so much from it. I have come closer to the Lord through this and I want to say that you CAN trust in the Lord in everything that you do. Please if you can attend FSY, it is the best thing ever. If you need any prayers, just comment and I will gladly pray for you. Thank you.

I miss FSY. I had a lot of good experiences there and I really felt the spirit, it was so strong and overwhelming. You become a family with your company, and once ot all ends, you always tend to talk with them, cause you care about them and want to see them. And you all experienced something great together, I know I did. I loved my company. And we all felt similar things, I thought I was always the only one that really struggled with faith, but it's a lot of people. They are truly amazing people, and I'd love to go again if I ever had the chance. Maybe even become a councler one day
I am so jealous! I wish they had this going when I was a young man. I look forward to when my kids are old enough to participate.

I was too introverted to hang like this in my youth. I didn't like sharing my life and I still don't. I'll never change.
It is not about meeting people it is about the spiritual blessings. Yes there are many people but sometimes it can be helpful. You don't have to change if you don't want to.

Is this a type of regional youth conference? Similar to EFY but sponsored by the Church and thus affordable to all?
Yes, that's the plan from what I understand. Stakes will go together, and everyone will have the opportunity to go.
I heard it is a lot less expensive, from $500 to $150. My ward pays half, and the family pays half. There are multiple sessions in Tacoma, WA this summer.
Just would like to see what comes from this program. FSY been running in New Zealand for the last Ten years and every time they return it's like "oh back to regular church, how boring!" lol... It would be fantastic if Ward youth leaders could have the resources that FSY have for that period of time.
Youth Leader: "Youth we're off to Disney for a week"

My son had a minor disability that was not really bad and was dropped from the list! We only found out on request! Very sad and sad that it is not for everyone !!!
Sign up next time and don't list his disability at the same level and all will be right. Bummer for your son's missed experience.
@@papasteph3226 We went to the bishop and he demanded that he be allowed to go anyway! If the church offers a camp then for all, without ifs and buts! Thanks to the bishop, he is allowed to go!
@@papasteph3226 oh wait the FSY has changed her mind in between again and he can not come now! although it was promised to the bishop and us! so much for honesty!
If the Church does not force FSY to include all youth there will be youth who are injured and damaged for life!!!! THIS MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN>>>>>THEY MUST BY INCLUDED AND DISABILITY MUST BE ACCOMMODATED!!!!!

How to sign up in fsy. What are the requirements. And what does it provide. Can anyone plz explain?
For youth turning 14 and older, check with the stake if there is FSY in your region. Multi stake youth get together.
