Purcell - Dido and Aeneas: When I am laid in earth (Dido's Lament) (piano transcription)

Thank you Koen for the recommendation of this aria in passacaglia form. My transcription is based on the Calebe Barros edition and Les Éditions Outremontaises, both of which can be found on IMSLP.
Arpeggiation and octave doubling are at the performer's discretion.

Thank you for this fabulous arrangement. The essence of the piece has been captured so cleverly, and it also highlights the fact that it is a great example of the Baroque 'Ground' or basso ostinato, a form that Purcell has used in many of his compositions.
