Got mine last week in bourbon burst and it has become one of my favorites. Plays like a champ and the 57 Classics sound absolutely fantastic! And I’ve never been a huge Gibson pickup lover. Great job, Gibson!
Greg is killing it! Wonderful sounding demo! That guitar is SO versatile. Greg knows his way around every guitar he plays. His ear is amazing. I enjoyed this!! 😎❤❤❤
The working man's Les Paul, good for the studio or gigging (they're weight relieved). Lots of voicings, great neck and fretboard, and AA Maple caps to boot. Hard to argue with the spec.
@@douglaskooienga I mean technically it was designed to play sitting down. But hey man you do you, I'm just not a fan of the semi hollow body. Yes that's what it is
I bought that guitars brother, serial # 295 from WildWood on Saturday. Can't wait to get it Thursday or so :) I'm selling my 60's standard custom shop top from WildWood on Reverb if anyone is looking for a great guitar :)
Lot of strong, mostly negative opinions here. First off, we all know Greg Koch can make any guitar sound glorious, but this guitar sounds every bit like I would want a Les Paul to sound. Second, there seems to be an outright dismissal of this as somehow less than a standard or some more recent discontinued models, but this also seems like a great Standard alternative with the ebony board. I think the sound and features at least warrant a test in hand before calling it trash. I might consider this over a standard depending on which is more playable.
I agree man, if you’ve got enough for one of these you might as well hold out for a Standard or find a fraction more for a nice used Standard and get a lot more guitar for your buck in my opinion.
I love my Tributes! I have an SG Tribute and a Les Paul Tribute. Had both of them changed out with 50’s wiring and Mojotone 59 Clones in the LP and Seth Lovers in the SG. They both play and sound great! I really like the satin finish and maple necks on the Tributes as well.
Soooooo,$1600.00 usd for a home depot maple top, questionable mahogany, weight relief or swiss cheeseing of the guitar body, pickups and hardware that most would instantly swap, super ugly finish options, thinner body, some neck binding (which really adds nothing to the instrument) This is just a cringe instrument.. It's no secret, the lp studio hit it's peak in the early90's under Henry J and has been steadily falling off since... It's a definite pass, and add to that all the questionable stuff Gibson is doing with lawsuits, ect, makes me not want anything with their name on at all... Also who really wants to be apart of the worst guitar community on earth? We've all seen these Gibson fans posts on social media, forums, ect and that alone makes not want anything Gibson has to offer, nor be apart of their delusional and stuck up fan base... Pass on all accounts..

Nice to hear a demo with the actual tones demoed!

Nah. No weight relief for me.
@@there_is_nothing_herePeople with back issues and rotator cuff really appreciate weight relief on guitars.

@@there_is_nothing_hereall good brother you can’t hear the sound difference once the amp is cranked anyways .
Ordered one in bourbon burst. Can’t wait to check it out!
Beautiful color, great Greg!!
That's a bodacious sounding axe. Makes me reconsider my desire for one of those fancy custom shop jobs...
Great sounding guitar
Gibson haters galore lol. A very good guitar and Greg makes it growl!

A guitar is mere mortals can afford??😯

Agree, i'm actually selling my 60's custom shop top from WW and bought this one on Saturday :)
I wonder how long Wildwood had those in stock for Drade to film so it was ready to go for today?
They both sold the day they posted lol. I got the other one which was 8.34 pounds and had a slightly better top, at least to me.
@kanesword9528 Nice, enjoy!
If he would demo (mention) the amp or the drive pedal he’s using, we’d buy those too. Too bad the talent is not for sale. Lol.
Tone King Imperial Mk. II, no pedals. Easy as pie.
Such a great pig lip sticker'er.
I don't remember Jimmy Page having push pulls on his Les Paul...
Back than Gibson guitars were trash 😂🤣🤣
Yes, it did
he didn't play studios either
Yup. He’s got coil taps for sc, out of phase, etc.
Page’s were stealthily located under the pickguard.
But $2K?? I think Gibson has lost their minds...
Meh. Should have put BB Pros in it
Why?
The regular Studio has BurstBuckers
There will be a weird ringing, top is lame on every one and just save for a real standard

Just get a strat, anyone playing a gibson all sound the same a strat let's everyone find their own voice
I can't believe they dropped the tribute series for this crap
Tributes were junk.
Really?
@@waitaminute7257 Yup! The Tribute SG and Les Paul sounded sick for metal. The satin finish with maple necks sound heavy for deeper tones.
Tribute no era un les Paul real
