That was awesome Brian! For a long time now I've been looking for a best fit solution regarding project management built on Salesforce. To date they were either not good enough, irrelevant or just too robust, far too much for what I needed. I'm glad I discovered this tutorial and I've now built it out and added it to my org. Thank you so much.😊😊😊
Your tutorials are so clear and easy to follow. I've been struggling to adapt a flow similar to this to allow a user to create multiple project records to account for recurring work (essentially the same type of project with tasks needs to happen monthly, quarterly, etc.). Have you encountered any similar requirements and solved for this scenario?
Hi Fawn, You could set up a Scheduled Flow to create a project on the first of the month. You'd need a field on an account or an opportunity to filter the records so you weren't creating projects for everybody each month. It could be a picklist value like Recurring Project equals Active or date fields (e.g. contract start and contract end).
Thank you so much - helped us figure out a tricky setup! I like the level of detail & you show the various methods available to achieve the same result.
@@Rotive Since I discovered your channel a month ago, I've been binge watching all the videos. The best Salesforce education channel for non tech people like me. I absolutely love the way you break down difficult topic into understandable bit size. More importantly I appreciate the actual use case application of the platform tools, which I've started applying in our company org. In future I'd like to see videos about optimising user experience on desktop & mobile. Thanks for these great videos.
@@debasishp That's awesome to hear! Thank you. Definitely putting user experience videos on the list. Salesforce has quite a few tools you can use to improve it.
How would we set the status to default to “New” in the flow? bc if you are creating the project then most likely it is a new project. I cannot get my tasks to be created, not sure what I missed.
In the field settings for the status picklist, you can set a default value. That's where I would make it default to New. You could also set that value in the create project step when you define the other variables, but that's a little more complicated and not really needed.
i have followed this step by step however if i want to create a new project in the app it does not allow me to create and tasks. i am only allowed to create new tasks on project template object. Any help will be grateful
Hai sir. I was creating a account along with multiple contact here im using multiple in the section of how many record to create. The flow is working fine sir but the issue is one only contact is repeating twice. Eg A B B C D
Hmm. I'm not sure what would be causing this. Likely a mistake in logic somewhere. I would check to make sure you're only getting those "template" records that you want. Perhaps you're getting and recreating more records than you realized. Double check any conditions on Get and Create steps.
This is probably one of the greatest tutorials about creating apps in Salesforces, very clear... ty so much.

Please do a training on language translation with Einstein Chatbot. 🙂
Interesting.... I'll have to look into that. Thanks!
