Hey, this really was a good video! ... without the loud, distracting soundtrack.
**agreed
that was exactly what I thought, the last one I watched was spoilt by it, would have preferred to hear them talking and the silence of the mine.
However... the soundtrack made for a cool fast video, too!!
Wow that is just amazing !! Very crazy flooring down there! Thanks for sharing :)
very brave man to go down the mine!
Wow, this is terrifying. Amazing video, though it does seem like it was incredibly risky to capture it!
you guys are brave going there, i was scared for the man at 3.52, thanks for posting the vid
Great explore chaps, you wouldn’t get me down there but I don’t mind watching you do it 😀
Thanks for the new UL so much better without that annoying music👍🏻
That music is great!
nice video, better without the music! Nice to hear the native sounds and conversation.
awesome man, thanks for sending me the link. also... i was right!! this version is better than the other one. lol you guys are cool, you dont need a soundtrack. thanks again... subscribing.
+Ben o Cam - this version is great....much better, thanks for pointing me to it....put up more caving vids. Many years ago I used to be a prolific caver in S Wales...

That’s a terrifying place 😱
Eu NÃO Sabia Que Existia Seres Humanos Com Tanta Coragem.
Great video guys, Is that Hawkes shaft with the pipework in?
Yes it is. It used to be open but now has a large concrete slab over it and only accessible from going down a nearby shaft in the woods and walking too underground . The one we use for access escaped the capping program as it’s so difficult to get concrete near I think !
Nice.
AWESOME!
How in the heck did they get that massive plumbing down there?

I don't believe in telekinesis.
Well, you said they used their brains. So I'm assuming to mean with telekinesis, also known as psychokinesis, is the ability to move things with your mind.
Still, I think that's rubbish.
Ummm, no? I don't really see him as the type for expressing sarcastic humor.

You don't really believe a colorful cartoon horse is really conversing with you . . . . . do you?
No need to get upset. I can get you another bowl of Cheerios that hasn't been pee'd in, if that helps.
Braver than me!
When the upper side guy is gone
nice
walking around in that shite strikes me as crazy
What kind of mine ? What mineral were they extracted from this mine
Clack valve, rare to find.
I think they would have scrapped it if it was easy to get up !
What was it mined for? Material I mean
Beer.
What an incredible mine to find - looks like the water level is quite variable. why is that?
this mine is connected to the county adit so slowly drains after no rainfall for a bit
Was there ever a Lateral Enterance to this mine or was that Vertical Shalt always the only way in or out?
vertical only im afraid
You boys need a canary on your shoulder lol
Scary place
Nice pink suit
makrs you weaker
good video:)
Hope you sealed that up properly when you'd finished.
Of course. There’s a bar which unbolts which we always put back in. It’s in our interest... if a kid falls down and dies they will concrete this and many others like it over.
My bum went 2p 5p when that floor went under mateys foot I bet he felt like he turned to stone
Must of been some work to dig that shaft out even if they did blast
What did they mine there?
Tin, most of the mines in Cornwall are tin. It is famous for it.... dating back to the bronze age. Though there were a few Zinc and lead mines.
Did it feel cold or hot down there?
+AtomicPunk23 well they had coats and jackets on so im guessing it was pretty cold.
Yes
What diameter ropes are you using?
Think they are 10.5 mm
Okay cool I run 11mm
Brave :)
May I ask what those black spikes are?
Just incase you are still interested, they are stalactites.. its where a very slow drip of water has flown down from the earth and solidified with the local minerals in it. they come in many colours depending on what minerals are in the earth
I like to think
If this was a mine
Then the miners must've been really stupid
The first rule is dont dig straight down
Ben Was Cam 😂
Explore? Mines had blueprints.
I guess it was easier to enter
without looking for paperwork.
The mine plans were quite vague and also over 100 years old so how they left it is not what it is like now. I do have copies of the mine plans of this area if they are of interest as they available from the county records office.
Crossing those gaping voids, without a lick of safety gear, strikes me a plain foolish. Trusting your weight to some rusty pipe...
This is why no one had seen those valves for hundreds of years and now you and many other people have thanks to us doing that your welcome .
Nope. this is how as above so below started no way...😂
I would've fallen and died
