I don’t remember what age I began listening to this song and bought its album. Maybe 13-14 y.o. And I wonder if I used to listen to this to help me get over my older brother passing away. I would repeat this song constantly. Thanks for the upload.
great job such a cool tuning. I remember as a young man trying to figure this song out in standard tuning, no luck. lol R.I.P such a waste touring again making new songs, we always loose the greats.
You are so so so good at recreating the sound of some of the hardest bands to duplicate. Soundgarden and QOTSA are two of the hardest bands to get right. Their musical sophistication hidden behind 'simplicity' is masterful. Great great work, great focus!
Awesome cover man. I used to listen to this song a lot when I was going through one of the hardest times in my life. Thanks man. It brings back memories. I am glad that I made it through. Great job man.
Man that's a great song. Nice sound you got there too. I'd love to play that baby live, but I don't have enough axes to keep in all these cool tunings. Thanks for posting!
Pretty solid, um you dont play those 2 open noten in the verse between chord changes, its just two plucks on the fifth string which is watever note now cause this is a goofy tuning but its two 1/8 notes in a row
I don't want to be rude for bringing this up but could you cover Pearl Jam tune Wash... I learned a lot from your videos and I hope this tune is on your cover list...
When Chris Cornell plays this live it’s played pretty much the same in a slighty different version of open c. Instead of CGCGCE which is what’s being played here. it’s actually in CGCGGE. It’s still open C because C, G, and E are there. Chris just fingers some of the lower strings a tad differently and the strings drone a bit more chimney. Killer cover here though. Pretty Noose is in the same.
ha!.....no doubt @eyeball: you have the tuning, you're looking at him playing it, and you have 2 ears....ie: you can do it my man, this is how you learn. just work through it eyeball, just work through it
May I cry? Just remembering the best time of life. RIP Chris Cornell, thanks for the inspiration. You too, brother. Especially.

This band and this song taught me alternate tunings. I also learned odd time from them. Great work!

Yeah setup lists would actually be appreciated for most covers indeed. That sound is unique.
Added setup on my “About” page. Though some changes were made from 10 years ago.
I'm still trying to figure it out.
Well-done sir
I LOVE YOUR FENDER!

You always have the best Soundgarden play-alongs/covers. How do you get that tone? Pedals, amp, etc.

@slackerVK Cool, do you think you could post a video of it? Or aren't you prepared to go into that tuning again?
do you have intonation problems when you bring it back to standard E tuning?
Sweet!
Dude you did one hell of a job its hard enough to play since you gotta tune your guitar to a C chord
I actually enjoy listening to this version more than the soundgarden one,its better with the extra guitar
Pretty solid, um you dont play those 2 open noten in the verse between chord changes, its just two plucks on the fifth string which is watever note now cause this is a goofy tuning but its two 1/8 notes in a row
Nice! Hey, do you know Pretty Noose?

whats he playing at 12 seconds? i cant tell :(
corpse2222 he's barring all the strings on the 3rd frat except for the low E!
can I get the tab for this please?
If you need tabs, you might as well give it up and play the flute.
