Incredible! Finally nice to see a break in the monotony of choreo crews. These guys had mad fun and danced! Props to these dudes and all the crews that night
I've only known about Vibe for like a couple of years now and I had no idea it even went that far back. Watching the performance of Sickstep was pretty nice. Thanks for the history lesson :D
I watched 1st, 2nd, and now 3rd places for the '14 Vibe contest. Everyone should've won. They all had different qualities to them that I couldent decide. Yay everyone wins! =D
I can tell why this got the 3rd place. To make things short, the choreography is alright, but the tricks were CRAZY and made me yell in such a high note that I never thought I would reach such a high note, holy SHHHHH-.!!
Wow I started off from break dancing and this just gave me huge flashbacks. Just to put it all in a nutshell because I really don't have the right words to express how I feel about this performance. I freakin loved it! Keep it up Akashi Breakers!
They are entertaining as hell, that's what bboys are all about. They did awesome and are frankly a breath of fresh air from all the super sharp new style hip hop that's always a mix of gangsta/trap and then lyrical hip hop. This was fresh and it was FUN
This is one of a kind! Both technical and entertainment/performance value all in one bboy crew?! I love this because it is so seldom that you find dance crews that break dance wholly. And the powermoves were crazy. Can't believe they pulled all of those off. Awesome job.
People are arguing that they weren't as technical as the rest of the crews when it comes to choreography, and I would have to agree, but so would they. They know they're not a choreo crew and they don't pretend to be, they're not that kind of dancers, what they are is breakdancers, and what they are is straight up entertaining. They came just to show what they've got and have fun and I have no idea how anyone can watch this without a smile on their face. Which I think is what they were going for.
this is a lot entertaining simply with dynamism and uniqueness, not picking up quality of tightness or small details. Just makes me so happy! thanks a lot!
You guys took advantage of every single one of your guys' skills which is really awesome and requires lot of hard work. You did such a great job! Congrats!
lol can't tell if that's sarcasm or not, but they're pretty bad compared to the Company. Even the Academy of Villans wasn't that good, but they were creative.
Jewstin Nguyen I thought the Academy of Villains were good, i wasn't a fan of the music or the choreography, but if just watch the dancers, you can see that they were a little better put together than The Company.
While I disagree that the group was altogether smooth and sync'd, I was SO freakin impressed by the ability of most of these dancers to pull of incredible solo work. Most of the crews I've watched have two or three, maybe four solo dancers who can pull stuff like that off (or at least that they used in their routines), but holy crap, it's like every single one of these guys (and girls) are pulling crazy stuff. I definitely thought AoV won it, hands down, but Akashi Breakers did pretty flippin well too.
Akemi Airi I'd have to disagree with you because AoV was just popping the entire time. Sync was as on spot compared to The Company and the Choreo just went with the music it didn't actually have a meaning or at least it wasn't noticeable. They were just super creative and really on point with the screen. That's where they took it because of that little segment. Other than that they didn't out dance The Company.
Brian Webb they honestly made a lot of mistakes. what was 1:55 he just ran and hit the floor. At 1:33 the guy in front screwed up. 2:55 the guy on the far right went way to early and then was off. 3:50? Stepping on a dudes mouth? Like any crew can do that. I feel like they were a group of Bboys who added in dancing. Bboying you got these aerial moves, but they don't have choreography. You shouldn't leave dancers just sitting on the stage for anymore than 3-4 seconds unless you're freezing that part of the stage. Sometimes they had people just sitting in the back waiting. You know they don't have choreo because they're resulting to solo's and pretending to have a dance battle on stage. They're just a bboy club that went into a dance team.
freaking love this!! having so much fun while watching this..but i bet they've more fun while perfoming this stage!!! you've gained a fan in Germany!! ♥
Why hasn't anyone given any of the breakers some love? This set killed and broke away from the traditional dance choreography a lot of viewers are so used to watching for the past 10+ years. Thoroughly entertaining from beginning to end. Nothing against dance choreography which is the trend nowadays...but watching breaking with ridiculous stunts like THIS was so energetic from beginning to end without slowing down feels refreshing for once.
Respect!! its something new in a "dance (choreogrpah) competition". Some people dont know anything about the history. If you started dancing when mostly choreo came out, you are definitely missing something... What a shame! some people are so ignorant.
You know, breakdancing is usually more of an individual dance style, but the fact that they made it as clean and organized as they did while still incorporating on point powermoves, freezes, halos, etc. made me extremely impressed.
I think people forget to realize there has to be engagement with the audience. Its about having fun. Not all performance are serious but having fun and stunts played apart on why they placed.
I think the nature and culture of bboying makes it a lot harder for them to do choreographed dancing. Yes, they could do less acrobatics and have everyone else involved in the dancing, but bboying doesn't roll that way. I thought this group did a fantastic job of representing bboying while overall catering to the hip-hop choreographed world.
lol idk how ppl can say this is just stunts. hand hops, flares, mills, etc., (eventhough though they included toprock, grooves, and footwork) those powermoves are still dance moves... and they did them ON BEAT. even non-dance moves like the flips were on beat. moving your body to the beat.. shouldnt matter if your flying in the air or stepping with your feet. dancing is dancing. #listentothemusic
company first, academy of villans second, this place deserves 3rd. I wanna see who's 4th because I think it'd be close. These guys were awful. It's a bboy club that tried to become a dance crew. You can tell. They don't dance. They just focus on solos and doing stupid tricks. Not dancing. Someone is always off beat. Throws off the whole image. The bald guy is sub-par from everyone else making the team only as strong as he is. Ruins the image.
Actually AOV deserves in the first place, but remove that last part of their routine, then The Company Deserves 1st place. :) Cookies should be in the 3rd place, :D
jajajaj If I would be part of a group I would like to be part of this one.. or the academy..... this one are soo funny!! jjj and the academy just awesome!
lol 2nd thought. i thought i was watching a cheerleading competition. HAHAHAHA this was pure stunts that i thought. its like 80% stunts 10% Choreography 10% Transitions
its bboying...i don't know what you were expecting lol. choreographed bboying, its still dance, NOT stunt. yea flips ok, stunt, but their power moves, they're dance moves, NOT stunt.
its still the same. i'm just calling b-boy, "stunts." look. all they did is pure bboying AND INTERACTION ON THE AUDIENCE. isn't that quite dirty move to do on a competition? to interact with the audience by waving or clapping your hands. its like seeking for attention.. its just my opinion of what i have seen. truth hurts..
tehKrickuu Actually they didn't just do "tricks". They did several things. One of them being powermoves, which the difficulty of that compared to choreographed "hip hop" is much higher, not only that they did it in synch, on beat, and within formation/blocking. They also did several freezes and stacking on beat and together. Finally, they incorporated complicated patterns of footwork, illusions, and threads with the music. They didn't just blindly do stunts. They used their tools effectively. Also you have to consider that in slew of choreo groups that call themselves "hip hop" and that the judges of the competition were dancers under the hip hop umbrella, they were the only TRUE hip hop dancers, aka Breakin, one of the four elements of hip hop.
That wasn't an opinion, it was a critique. So I was proving your critique wrong, that is all :) Also what you said about breakin being a "stunt" is disrespectful to the dance/dancers.

Incredible! Finally nice to see a break in the monotony of choreo crews. These guys had mad fun and danced! Props to these dudes and all the crews that night
Watching them practice this in the back with CSLA was ridiculous, but daaaaayam they are insane! So much fun to watch!
明石Breakersはやっぱり最高で、ツボでした!!!!!一番会場を沸かしてたと思います!!
These Guys have Heart, Soul, and PURE Talent. The may not do the Typical Choero but what they is AMAZING and on a Level of it's Own. MAD Props!!!!!!!
My favorite performance of the night. Had me screaming. Congratulations Akashi!
Never did I expect to see a breakin' crew compete in Vibe and manage to get 3rd place. Pretty dang cool in my opinion
Sickstep won it in 2006.
I've only known about Vibe for like a couple of years now and I had no idea it even went that far back. Watching the performance of Sickstep was pretty nice. Thanks for the history lesson :D

it's very hard for a bboy choreo to be THIS clean, major kudos to these guys that was real fresh!
1. Lucky Strike - Maroon 5
2. Are you gonna be my girl - Jet
3. Runaway baby - Bruno Mars
Yo what's that vary first song called the one they played before they were dancing ????
Moroni Caldera Work out - J.Cole ;)
The tricks was so cool and the choreography was just simple that it was just showing that they just love what they're doing. Awesaaammm!!
Wow I started off from break dancing and this just gave me huge flashbacks. Just to put it all in a nutshell because I really don't have the right words to express how I feel about this performance. I freakin loved it! Keep it up Akashi Breakers!

they look like they had a blast and it feels like everyone was given a moment to shine. Fun and refreshing! More please!
This is one of a kind! Both technical and entertainment/performance value all in one bboy crew?! I love this because it is so seldom that you find dance crews that break dance wholly. And the powermoves were crazy. Can't believe they pulled all of those off. Awesome job.

Which I think is what they were going for.
was there last night, these guys blew my mind. such dance, many talent, wow.
9 years later this is still my favorite choreo
That is much more difficult than the most of the performaces i've seen there. totally deserved.
this is a lot entertaining simply with dynamism and uniqueness, not picking up quality of tightness or small details.
Just makes me so happy! thanks a lot!
You guys took advantage of every single one of your guys' skills which is really awesome and requires lot of hard work. You did such a great job! Congrats!
THIS WAS SO GOOD I NEARLY DIED! I'm sat in my room alone at night smiling like an idiot throwing my arms at the screen.. this is so sick!!! :')
Well deserved 3rd for sure! Awesome stuff! My jaw was dropped the whole time!
U just blew me away!! Love your energy and your charisma, and your power moves are out of this world!! Congratulations on all your hard work!
one of my favorite groups of the show
btw, did anyone notice the elder man in the group? he was killing it. respect ^~^
omg! they killed it!! I can't even comment! just crazy moves! and they are THIRD place! amazing awesome
these dudes are so damn smooth. every move is amazing to watch
lol can't tell if that's sarcasm or not, but they're pretty bad compared to the Company. Even the Academy of Villans wasn't that good, but they were creative.

This was so fun to watch! Great job, everyone!
every single time there was an unexpected joy of entertainment. lol I LOVED IT!

omg sooo entertainment! you rock Akashi breakers !!
that was hype!!! very entertaining to watch!
freaking love this!! having so much fun while watching this..but i bet they've more fun while perfoming this stage!!! you've gained a fan in Germany!! ♥
Akashi breakers, they seriously know how to bring back the basic of dance! TO HAVE FUN! Hell yeah!
This routine was spectacular! SPECTACULAR!
Now that was fun. Wow. Simply amazing guys.
Entertainment at its finest! Great job, Akashi Breakers.
Bboy was my first love in dancing, it should not be forgotten.
cool.... OMG it's so sick.. more power to all the breakers in the world.
Why hasn't anyone given any of the breakers some love? This set killed and broke away from the traditional dance choreography a lot of viewers are so used to watching for the past 10+ years. I know! They've been given so much hate! I love the Akashi Breakers!

I remember seeing these guys at Dance Delight In Osaka last June! I had forgotten their name, but I totally remember this! Proper!
its amazing how they bring in all age groups, like with them, anything is possible!
it's really amazing !!
Respect!! its something new in a "dance (choreogrpah) competition". Some people dont know anything about the history. If you started dancing when mostly choreo came out, you are definitely missing something... What a shame! some people are so ignorant.

This is really simple choreography with ripples and some tricks.
these guys are sickkk!!!!! im so hypeeeddddd!!! !lol
I think people forget to realize there has to be engagement with the audience. Its about having fun. Not all performance are serious but having fun and stunts played apart on why they placed.

I love these guys! :DD

4:44 SO FREAKING LOW AIRFLARES HOLY
lol idk how ppl can say this is just stunts. hand hops, flares, mills, etc., (eventhough though they included toprock, grooves, and footwork) those powermoves are still dance moves... and they did them ON BEAT. even non-dance moves like the flips were on beat. moving your body to the beat.. shouldnt matter if your flying in the air or stepping with your feet. dancing is dancing. #listentothemusic
Props to the guy in 1:55!
Holy shit, you guys have some fancy footwork!!
My whole family thought this crew rocked because they seemed to have the most fun!

That was entertaining as fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!
those airflares at the end were so loooow wooow :P
100% entertainment!!! AMAZING!!!
After watching a lot of the videos from this competition. I really think this should have taken first.
For a bunch of breakers that was hella clean!
The best is the guy that just goes for it at 1:54. I'm dying hahahaha
this is so hip hop awesome
OMFG....please teach me!
I think these guys should've come second , the company first and academy of villains third..
I said the same thing too
you think academy should've been in third place? you really dont know anything about dancing

Actually AOV deserves in the first place, but remove that last part of their routine, then The Company Deserves 1st place. :) Cookies should be in the 3rd place, :D
Agree with you.
Totally enjoyed these guys! How did they just get 3rd?
jajajaj If I would be part of a group I would like to be part of this one.. or the academy..... this one are soo funny!! jjj and the academy just awesome!
Woooowwww!
DOPE!!!
Everyone should have won :'(
Nah, this is not everybody gets a trophy, this is real life.
Equality is bullshit, learn what life is and go and be the best.
1:54 I have no idea why I got so hyped from someone falling on his side
AMAZINGGGGG!
lol 2nd thought. i thought i was watching a cheerleading competition. HAHAHAHA this was pure stunts that i thought. its like 80% stunts 10% Choreography 10% Transitions

gahd. i'm just sharing my OWN opinion. and then you guys just showed up and teaching me about history out of nowhere wtf
That wasn't an opinion, it was a critique. So I was proving your critique wrong, that is all :) Also what you said about breakin being a "stunt" is disrespectful to the dance/dancers.
cray cray cray!!! crazy stunts!!!!! =O
What is the first song that plays before they start? When it shows Akashi Breakers Competing Team.
Show is interesting, but I bite, but it is more!!
Love this one. is there a tutorial on it?
Damn, I enjoyed watching AoV and TC but these breakers were serious. Actually was in awe of some of the moves. Schweet.
the jersey part was a really cool concept
Why were they only 3rd! That was amazing!
