    This really is a very good tutorial. Short, no noise, easy to undertand and, somehow, manages to explain what is going on, despite being 'Oversimplified'. Well done.

    I had to move the folder 'api' into the myproject folder for django to read it. Also i had to do `python manage.py migrate` to create the tables and after that I could see the page at 3:28. That wasn't displayed on the video

    • @HubertRozmarynowski
      @HubertRozmarynowski ปีที่แล้ว

      As for the first part of your issue, adding path('', include('api.urls')) to urlpatterns list inside myproject/urls.py would fix it.
      As for the migrations, I also had to use the python manage.py migrate command. That should have been shown in the video.

    • @cpharper

    Very good explanation! Concise and straight to the point.
    I'm a Django beginner and I may not understand some things. Like how does the code of the @api_view decorator look like? Where can I find it? I tried searching for it but didn't find anything As far as I understand, a decorator is a function that takes the function below as a parameter and does something with it. But what does exactly api_view do? Or I shouldn't be wondering and just use it.
    Hope you answer
