When I saw his body floating in the water, my heart just bumped a little. That threw me off my balance. One of the best performances I have watched till date
It's hard to believe Barry Koeghan isn''t Dominic. What a darling character. So completely without guile, so innocent. I've watched that one scene over and over again.
@@carolinacolmenaresvaldivia9014 that's why his line 'not even when I'm your age' gets to me 😢 the age difference doesn't change so it's a bit ridiculous showing his immaturity
3:05 I don't think it's a stretch, when I watched the movie I thought the same thing also, so I agree. It seems to be a metaphor for the Irish civil war because it was going on in the background but didn't directly affect the story itself. Jenny (the donkey) could represent stupidity or ignorance somehow. (SPOILER ahead) Now THIS might be a stretch, but... After the proposal scene I realized that Dominic kind of disappeared and didn't show up ever again for a while, so I just got this terrible idea and thought "Noo, don't tell me he unalived himself, no!" because of what he said to Siobhan, something along the line of "now I better go to the edge of the field there now to do whatever I was going to do.." I mean why wouldn't he just say what he was going to do?.. And this was also right after he found that Padraic wasn't as kind of person he thought he was, so he might have felt betrayed, and then rejected by Siobhan, his father didn't seem to love him and always beat the hell out of him, this poor boy.. The movie said it was speculated that he slipped and fell but I just couldn't help but to think that he jumped off the cliff.. Dominic is such a sweetheart of a character and Barry Keoghan portrayed him amazingly, as always i'm impressed by his timing and subtle details in his acting. Didn't he win BAFTA award for supporting actor for this movie? Well deserved. Love him ❤
This is so frustrating. There is NOTHING in this movie that suggests that Dominic dies or is killed AT ALL!! So why all this talk about Dominic being dead???????
Because they found his body in the river towards the end of the movie 😅 He’s an article that talks about it as proof or I’m sure there’s a clip of the scene online somewhere screenrant.com/banshees-of-inisherin-ending-explained/ rip Dominic 🥲
@@athenamarieedits There is NOTHING, let me repeat that, NOTHING in that movie that depicts Dominic as dead or floating in the water!!! I don't care what they say online about it. It's NOT IN THE MOVIE!!
After watching the movie again, I did catch the scene where he's being dragged from the water. Don't know how I missed it the first time. In fact, I saw the movie three times. @@Mayflxies
He brought so much innocence to the film and he didn’t deserve that ending 😭 Barry Keoghan’s performance is so underrated
Yeah.. I felt to abduct the screenwriter for killing Dominic, same like what kathy bates did in Misery.
He won the BAFTA
DOMINIC WAS SO SWEET AND INNOCENT DESPITE ALL THE HARDSHIPS AND TRUAMA HE FACED! HE DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER! 😭
👏🏻 DOMINIC 👏🏻 DESERVED 👏🏻 BETTER 👏🏻

"Well there goes that dream" 😭
My heart shatters every time at that line istg 💔
They should have a separate Oscar category just for "Line Delivery" and Barry would've won it hands down.

Tears in my fucking eyes. God Barry Keoghan is just about the finest thing since the creation of the world.
Such a beautiful character. A beauty of heart that he really suffered for. "There goes that dream" is enough to break the viewer.
It broke me for sure 😭
TOP actor .. I am now in love with him all over again after watching Saltburn.
Irish accent put so much depth in movies.
ugh i love this movie but wow he CRUSHES my heart omg
omg I love this video thank you for making it! Barry is so wonderful 💔
Loved him in this surprisingly raw movie
DOMINIC DESERVED BETTER!!😭😭😭😭
HE DID!!! 😭
Your edits are so good! Literally love this mans and he can do any character
TYSM! ❤️ He fr is so talented 😮💨
i always appreciate how siobhan who was quite abrasive with him throughout the film (justified) lets him down so gently.
Bro Barry Keoghan is an ACTOR 🗣️🗣️😭😭 How does he do it
"there's women? *😁🫣*, there is women *🥺*" .... god he's so cute and pure
Best actor of earth
That’s a good observation at the end, very insightful.
❤️
Good movie. Great performance!
Some scenes stay with you...this is one of them.
Sweetheart ❤❤ Awesome edit and insights!

Oh gad I love this real boy and movie boy. He's heart breakingly beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤
He had me sobbing the entire time
All about Barry ❤️❤️
I cried… Hard.
😫😫😫I’m days late!! My heart can’t take watching this, but out of context…WHO IS THIS WOMAN WHO COULD HAVE JUST SAID MAYBE!!?? MY HEART!!
She was much older than him, could've been his mother. Yes it's sad but it makes sense that he was rejected. 🥺
@@carolinacolmenaresvaldivia9014 Ok, that actually makes sense.
