今回ご紹介するのは、福岡市にある屋台屋さん、「情熱の千鳥足」。
屋台は基本的には雨の日は営業しないが、雲行きが怪しい時は一か八かで組み立てをスタートする。しかし、組み立て時に雨が降り出すともう引き返せないので、やむを得ず最後まで営業を続けるそう。あまり雨の日の屋台設営は撮れないコンテンツとなるため、今回の動画を楽しんでみてください。

This is awesome and cozy, I mean imagine eating a hot dish comofrtably in a stall with the sound of the rain as background.
That's real dedication for you. A cook who loves his work and wants to make sure his customers can enjoy some comfort food despite the bad weather.
Yatai is definitely the go-to place especially when raining, at least in my opinion :) Thank you for the content! Great as always!
I agree. Eating hot smoking food with tea/coffee in the cool weather while watching the rain is a different level of bliss.
Another amazing example of packaging and construction. I would hope he find a place one day where he could leave his yatai up and not go through that two hour setup and probably two hour tear down every night. Thats got to be brutal in the freezing cold and high heat
Assembling the set up then cooking is one thing.

Assembling and disassembling that set up every day?

Something about the melancholy of darkness, pitter-patter of rain, and click clack of pans as food begins to sizzle that makes you want to spend money to just enjoy the life and sadness you bare with low stress. GG to these guys hope they made a good buck on this day despite the situation.

The Yatai owner was not going to let the rain stop him. First time I have seen venison (deer meat) on the menu!
I wonder if that is related to the lack of new hunters in rural Japan (due to restrictive firearms laws) driving down the cost of deer meat?

I don’t know why the local government won’t allow them to construct a more semi-permanent structure which could simply be closed up and locked at night. This seems almost barbaric to force hard working people to set up and take down these wonderful places every single day.
