I only just now realized this map is a walking silent hill reference, I mean, the courtyard is literally just Midwich Elementary School

Ah, the memories. Back in the day I was too scared to go into any part of the map except that large room because it was open and no monsters could ambush me

I remember being scared for my life playing this map in 2016
Theres some soil in the outdoor area of the map. It was originally green and had a bloody pentagram on it with candles surrounding it
You just brought back some memories I'd thought were forgotten
I’m thinking of a theory now.
The students started a ritual outside with the candles that brought an infection into school grounds and the rest of the living staff and students barricaded themselves upstairs. The player comes in and kills most of the monsters and leaves a bit after. A while later after the outbreak, the Pixel Gun version of the SCP foundation moves in to contain the anomaly and protect the survivors. They kill the rest of the infected and a base and research station is set up to determine what happened and the anomaly status is categorized as “alpha” which probably means that it is deadly. Eventually, the school is mostly abandoned by the foundation and people discover the remains of the past, eventually setting up the haunted school as a battlegrounds for the multiplayer mode.
It could also just be a reference to the Silent Hill franchise and I’m over-thinking it.

If you are talking about the current versions the music is gone and im not sure why, but I would assume it’s a bug
