Grew up in Brackendowns and remember hearing the engines and tyres of wheels and smoke while I was laying in my bed on Thursday nights. I remember going for the first time and seeing vaaitjie. The track felt so personal, never did I feel so alive watching man and machine become one and I was hooked immediately. I remember we were like the only white oaks there but the spin community were seriously some of nicest people I had met and made everyone feel welcome. Thank you vaaitjie and wheels and smoke🙏🏼
Vaaitjie explained spinning exactly the way we know it!! A more enclosed pitch is much more better than oval tracks and engines for spinning are not as entertaining when the engine is too big, this is spinning and not drifting. I have honestly stopped attending spinning events because it feels like one is at a drifting competition as opposed to spinning.
