I've seen this next to M/Y Ace, which at 85 meters is not exactly small, and it absolutely dwarfs it. Dilbar is unappealingly large. I would much prefer Ace or that beautiful Oceanco Barbara next to it...Hell you could own both and have them at different locations so you can pick and choose which scenery you'd like.

It can definitely host a couple of hundred people. But when they refer to how many guest a yacht can have its referring to beds. There's 40 GUEST beds... That doesnt even account for crew quarters.

I saw it today in Monaco harbour, in comparison all the other yachts were much smaller (but very big for my standards)

You should mention the fun gossips!! 1st) the vessel is named after his mamma. While his main private aircraft is named after his papa! Such a good son Usmanov! 2) it is the exact replica of a previous vessel which was just short of 110 meters. That was the first Dilbar - which he still owns - but when he got delivery of this new one he transferred the name 3) The first Dilbar was eight meters shorter of Abramovich's Pelorus. Now the new Dilbar is again 8 meters shorter than Abramovich's new vessel Eclipse. So besides being very respectful to mummy and daddy, we can say Usmanov is also very respectful of Russian oligarch hierarchy... as they say: "Never fly faster than your Guardian Angel"...

Honestly, in this never ending game of one-upmanship, why doesn't someone just commission the yards that build the mega cruise ships to build one that is the same size as, say, the Symphony of the Sea but for maybe 200 people?

I think it's practicality. A superliner sized yacht wouldn't be able to enter famous marinas and that would defeat the purpose of showing off. Also that many guests would personally put me off as the owner. I'd like to at least have individually met all my guests and grant them my presence whilst aboard. With 40 guests that's already a long stretch. But with 200...? lol

Guests VS crew. If the crew outnumber the guests, it's a yacht.
I've been thinking about that exact same thing for a long time I guess when it's privately owned it's a yacht but if it's catering to a lot of people say a thousand then it's a cruise ship

Instead of being angry about other people's financial accomplishments why don't you try to make some of your own? I can never understand people who are pissed off because other's have been able to achieve more financially than they have. By getting angry about wealthy people you're basically admitting that you're incapable of achieving what they've been able to achieve.

You can’t walk right up to them but there is a viewing tower on the wall that gets you pretty close.

I saw a video of superyacht Kismet docking (not sure of the location) and I thought that yacht was big until it pulled in next to Dilbar. I was in complete shock at the sheer size of Dilbar.
Dilbar has 6 times the interior volume of Kismet

That's just a huge monster. Just to show how big that is, I was watching it and asked one of my family members how big they thought the boat next to it was and they said like 50 feet. HA HA

No. It’s always a yacht. It may be the size of a cruise ship but it would never be called that.
Why is it still anchored on the starboard side when it’s on a pier.
It’s common to use the anchors to hold in place when in port, especially a massive vessel like this.

Ona is a different smaller yacht, the one he had before this one.
It's either a very large yacht or a very small cruise ship.

4:44 it's not ridiculous, i would say it's a nice compact yacht with featuring not too many design fuck-up's like most other yacht do... (f)actually it would be great if she would be like 2meters longer that would make it possible to improve the exterior design massively... but i guess bad choices were made or it was simply deliberate.

With how big some of these yachts are getting, is there a reason no billionaire seems to have bothered to just get a full on cruise ship setup as a private yacht? Yes I admit I am very ignorant of the yachting world but it seems like they just keep trying to go bigger and bigger, so why not go all the way so to speak. I recently found your channel and I have been enjoying learning from what you have been presenting. Thanks for making these videos.
