    Thanks for the video. Just a tip. Maybe use more diagrams and things while you explain things. This would be really helpful for more vidual learners.

    Very insightful videao. In our region, they use isolated shallow foundation footings. I always wondered why. The ground is limestone rock and the buildings are made of concrete masonry units.

      Which region are you from Ayman? I appreciate the support 🙏

    In Redlands Queensland which is nearly all clay all houses sit on footings 300mm wide by 600mm deep from the 50's through to the 90's ,all lowset brick veneer with no cracks in the brick work , on a slab 100mm deep. Suddenly we have the Building Code of Aust allowing Waffe pods and problems.

      Hi Phil - As always it’s a tricky landscape to navigate.
      Making sure you have the best consultants working for you, so you can ensure the foundations being used are suitable and all variables are being considered.
      All the best! 🐟🚀

    Hi Pete,
    What model suspension model slab comes into?

    • @peterkellyofficial
      @peterkellyofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Vin - You may have to talk to an engineer regarding this!
      Good luck!

    Very Informative video. I dug up few post holes in my backyard (Melbourne) and the one next to the house keeps filling up with water which I can see is seeping from under the black plastic used under slab. Other holes are bone dry. After watching your video I think it could be one of the pipes under the slab.

    Hey mate great info. what would your recommendation be for a barndominium in WA. The soil would either be sandy or the red iron dirt. I think i'd be leaning towards the first one you mentioned.

      Engage a good engineer - But a raft slab usually works well in these circumstances!!
      Good luck 👏🏼🚀👍

    Hey Peter love your videos, very informative. Just wanted to know your thoughts on how much per m2 a house would cost to build I am aware it can differ.

    • @peterkellyofficial
      @peterkellyofficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hault! It’s too fluid with way too many variables - I’d just be pulling out a random number. The best option is always talking to local builders to build some perspective 👍
