Bought the same lip ,(a little different mold) for my Red and Black 2005 350Zed. I do like the Poly better than anything else. I shot it with some clear first and it turned out great! Denatured Alcohol for clean up is the key.

I put a $900 CF lip on my M3 and it lasted about two weeks before I'd splintered it to hell on speed bumps. At last I can laugh about it now though 😝

I found your vid just in the knick of time; i ordered myself a similar lip and was contemplating how I was going to install the darn thing! Very helpful. Now, if I could find one to help me with the rear bumper valance I bought. :) Oh btw, i noticed someone asked if you were going to paint, I used carbon-fiber covering on mine.
I wouldn't paint it. My finish is really durable and will look good over time. you won't be able to apply the same techniques for install with carbon fiber though.

These cars are already low from factory. They sit 1 inch lower than a G35 then people lower them more by an inch and wonder why they rub everywhere.
350z 2007 convertible I think the convertible are little lower than hard top got low profile 18s and I can't fit four fingers from body to tire only two fingers most people say they can fit four fingers in hardtop. It is low enough for me with a lip it's going to look lower
I ran my heat gun over it a few times. I still need to work with it. I couldn't use screws from under as it kept pushing the lip up. Plus my 3m tape would not even stick to the poly even after using 99% alcohol. I do have screws in the corners, two on each side. The temps have been low lately but I'll keep working it. Does look good though.

@@AnthonyJ350 thank you! i ordered my magic drift lip, and it'll be here by the end of the month. im gonna be using this vid as a guide, hopefully it goes ok update: this video was really helpful! and yes you gotta jack it up even if you are on stock suspension. also, the lip came in two pieces which was unexpected - and the fitment was terrible when trying to put them together. i ended up having to cut away nearly a square foot of material from the edges of the lower part in order to get it to fit right. so have some cutters available if you have the same issue
heyy. I saw that you had a small gap. i have a genesis coupe and i have a polyurethane lip as well, but i have about a quarter inch gap where it is on yours.. did you just heat up that corner and it shaped back? not sure how to go with it, but thought id ask. thanks

***** No I didn't touch it. We heated it up to get the sides on then we put the screws in. Afterwards I heated up the whole thing evenly and you could hear it moving and conforming itself more. It doesn't move a whole lot. Park the car in the sun too if you can.

I'd be interested in it if I knew it were actually functional...? I like the look, but I track my car so I'm more interested in function.
I'm sure it would actually act like a front spoiler the way it's shaped. To what extent I have no idea and would have to go into a wind tunnel to find out.
Magic Drift no longer carries the lip I wanted for my G35 so I had to go with another brand...Ofcourse no instructions and has 4 Z shaped brackets and screws and rivets...Install is going to be fun! BTW, why didn't you paint the lip...I think Piano Gloss Black gives it an upscale look....
Umm no, the lip doesn't go near the black plastic under the car. Depending on the lip that you purchase. I can still remove my splash shields with the lip installed on my car.
+MrRangerZr1 Nope. I like the black trim look, it ties in with my black roof. It helps cut up the bubble look of the car and doesn't make the face look "long" if you were to paint it. Also by keeping it black makes it a super low maintenance item and I never have to worry about rock chips or scratches really.
+headcheesee I've seen people get them painted. I would ask your local paint shop what they can do for you if you're thinking about getting a piece like this for your car.

I use a PH balanced detail spray from rubber and plastic trim and or tires every year.

When you do the screws on the sides, are they going directly into the painted shell of the car? Its hard to see from the angle you showed.
Yes the screws are going into the back lip of the bumper shell.

Bought a lip from the same company but the scotch 3M double sided tape i purchased would not stick to the lip well, any advice?
I did have to use screws in some areas. Make sure to heat up the lip before you install it to help it conform to the car more.
