Nice to see a Joliette shirt... I wached them live when they opened for Cult of Luna back in 2020 in Mexico City, so, this could also be a good combo, Rolo+Joliette in Mexico! Anyone can tag them?
at 0:24 its backup vocals, by her brother i think? the keyboard player. Sometimes he ditches the keys and jumps around with a mic too. He does it at 4:14 too
@@JD_13 I'm just now finding out about this band, and I love what Ive heard so far. And of course their name is fucking classic. Could you point me to a particular album please?
@@eliottsmith6908 i personally play their latest two albums on repeat. “Time will die and love will bury it”, and “where myth becomes memory”. Their earlier albums are more crazy mathcore and are a tough listen sometimes, but the band has aged like a fine wine in terms of maturity, songwriting and production values. In my opinion. Try the song “drip” for something badass, and try the song “aftermath” for clean singing, amazing atmosphere and an addictive chorus. Let me know how it goes :)
My favorite band of all time next to Dillinger, holy F K they're just amazing live too. Honestly James' backing vocals sound 10x better than Bens do tho (sorry Ben lol) and Eva will always be the best vocalist along with Greg.
“A Flood of Light” is a masterpiece. One of the greatest songs ever written.
joliette shirt goes hard. just found them this past year
So good!
👍Ok👍

Are they using backing vocals pre-recorded? There's a couple seconds in the beginning of where she's not singing but you can hear singing

@@JD_1310 okay so it's live vocals, the dude singing them was just off screen. Swear it sounds exactly like her though
@@eliottsmith6908 yeh and they both often do that indistinguishable kwah kwah kwah sound live which irks me a bit to be honest 😅
