What they were doing is called the "skullcracker challenge". It's when 2 people trick a 3rd person into jumping so they can kick his legs so that he loses balance and falls. I hate it b/c people have gotten hurt and ended up in the hospital over this stupid challenge.
It's the fucking worst. Not a prank or challenge at all. Just an asshole move. MANY injuries & at least one death (Brazilian girl) in 2020.

Whoever is filming should rethink letting her handle an axe until she has been properly taught how to use it. This is how people end up in the hospital.
at the start of her swing she is holding the axe with both hands from the very, very bottom
super stupid, and she's stepped forward so if she misses she'd axe her own foot off.
Hold the axe with one hand low and one hand higher up, stance should be strong and wide and not gonna bury the axe into your foot.
Bring it up to the shoulder and never directly behind the head, then bury it into the log. As its coming down you can slide your high hand down a bit.
