    I am a full-time Pallet Flipper and I would not recommend anybody buy from Bulq.com
    That is one of the worst places you can source your customer returns/overstock/shelf pulls/warehouse damage pallets from. Shop around more and try to by locally and pick up the pallets in person to save boat loads of money in shipping costs.

    • @PudgyPicker
      @PudgyPicker  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are sooo many companies now that are selling in pallets, so it is really nice to shop around. I agree, I haven't purchased anything from them since this video. I can source local items and get a much nicer profit margin! TFW!

    Just a note from where I sell. I pick up throw blankets second hand(thrift shops) no store tags or packaging, now and then and only buy ones that look really plush and faux fur(like several of the ones you have here) and I drape them loose on a sofa or chair. They look really good displayed on the right piece of furniture. I dont think you sell that type of stuff in your space, but just a note if you have that option at all. I typically price ones like that for $25-$29. And I sold them here but we do have a lot of furniture displays that I was able to help create and those blankets just really "made" a display. Also I have one I currently lay on the bottom of a big wide shelf, so it makes for a really plush bottom and then I display on top of it(if that makes sense, it really dresses items up sitting on something furry and plush.

    9 sets of those luxury sheets are great!!!! I didn't even know 1050 thread counts existed! That's awesome!

  • @mysnellvilleblog
    @mysnellvilleblog 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Those sheets should be worth a LOT of money with a thread count that high! Maybe you can create a bundle listing with it on Amazon by pairing it with a couple lavender sachets or something like that.
    The only “negative” thing I can say is that I think that you, with all your knowledge of items - can source things well so for the same amount of money you could probably pick higher profiting items. But running around to a lot of thrift stores IS exhausting and it is fun to do something differently and it must be fun to unpack the box to see whatchagot!
    Also, my dear sister “bored housewife,” (lol yeah we wish, right?!?) people miss the fact that this is new content for your TH-cam channel, we love watching, and you probably make money on your videos...so it’s a win. Also we all learned there is such a thing as 1050 thread count sheets. Good lord! I’m used to my 5 count burlap...lol

    I enjoy watching unboxing "sometimes." I checked out the bulq.com site and just watched another video of bulq unboxing. Not seeing a lot yet that I could really use, but it's fun to pass the time looking at more STUFF.

      Pudgy Picker You're so right, Jen. I have some health problems, with 5 operations in the wings that I need to deal with. I wake up and think today is the day I get started, but I have so little energy right now that little gets done. One day, I'll get healthy enough to have the operations and hope I'll be able to get some pep back in my step afterwards.

    Do you ever watch dumpster divers? The big stores toss inventory all the time - They toss returns it seems regardless of the reason for the return. Recycling bins are a good place to find packaging materials too.

    Good information! I have bought kitchen ware from a liquidator by my house, and sold it at a flea market! Did pretty good with it, but could have charged more on eBay, but would have had it longer. I think I like being able to go to the warehouse and see the products firsthand, rather then order them online. But it would depend on what it is! Thanks for the info on BULQ! I have been curious about them.

    I appreciated viewing your unboxing and learning about this company. I think for me, I enjoy the hunt and feel like I can find better items on my own and of course will know their condition at the time of purchase. I also focus on luxury and edgier items for stylists so I this would not be a good resource for me. But again, Appreciate you took the time to do this. There are so many points along the chain a person can acquire goods.......and this is another one.

    this is the video that got me to that bulq website. and i never even heard of it. i opened my box and cannot do the review now but i went on there when it was free shipping and ordered a $36 box and let me tell you when i opened it and was so surprised about how much was in there and then I got these 2 boxes of ratz candy dispenser brand new and went on ebay to find out the price which was $89-99 a box girrrrrl I was more excited than my son. I was thanking God for directing me to this site through someone's video. It was my last in my bank account because i was broke that day and wanted to treat my son since he did well in school.

    Per BULQ you need to delabel or deface specific brands. That policy is listed under each lot where it may be applicable: Fieldcrest and Mossimo are two brands (amongst many others) which must be delabled or defaced (draw lines, double stamp if printed on product etc...) just something to consider.

    • @PudgyPicker

    As a person that has worked retail in the past for years I can tell you new packages gets damaged, and bounces around the store until it just gets clearanced or sent out to thrift stores completely new! Sometimes the package can't be used and it gets taped up.

    • @PudgyPicker
      @PudgyPicker  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree, as I have worked retail before. BULQ has several categories and need to sell them according to condition, such as like new if it doesn't have new packaging. They acknowledged this when I called them and refunded the box with the blankets, so I only paid for shipping on it. TFW!

    I order from Bulq all the time. I have had pretty good results with uninspected returns. The box I ordered that was "new" condition had a few broken items, I called them and they gave me a huge credit. My profit margin is on the smaller side, the they are good items to fill up your store. They are from Target, but I did one time get some really nice stuff that was Groupon. Good luck, keep pickin. Don't be afraid to call them on the stuff that was supposed to be "new".

BULQ seems like it could be a great way to make some money as long as you are aware of what you're buying and have a plan for how you will move the inventory once you get it. I would wind up keeping some items for myself and selling off the rest on Amazon, eBay, and in my antique booth.

    Hi! OMG, I love this video! I had No Idea this store even existed! Lol! This video came up as a recommended from YT, while I was watching one of my coupon deals of the week vids, and I had to click! Lol! I def subscribed, even tho I haven't even seen what the rest of your channel is about, but, I do know, I like and appreciate your honesty and that there aren't even affiliate links, lol! I am soooooo skeptical now, after seeing what's going down with the Beauty "Gurus" here on YT, or, like some call it, the Influencers, bc that's basically what they do. And, some won't even say they receive a kick back, they'll put it way in the description somewhere. Even if they do, how honest are they going to be, if they absolutely HATE something, but make money if people buy it?! So, when I saw there was no links, I felt pretty certain this would be an pretty honest review! Thanks for this! I do see on my side bar, someone does a "craft" box from them, so I def have to go to this site now! Lol!
    I have a question tho, what if you get something you didn't sign up for? Like you said House stuff, yet, got clothes... Can u return it? And I know u said there was a list, is it a prepacked box u just buy as is? And, where the blankets are clearly NOT in a package, what if you did order the Brand New type stuff, do they send you out what you were promised? Do they credit you? Or do you have to go thru the hassle of returning it, at ur cost, which wouldn't be fair, considering THEY made the mistake... If this is all covered on the website, then disregard this, unless they say one thing, and your finding, they do quite the other. Anyway, thaks again, I now have something new to look into... Which may be a good thing.... Or not so good thing! Lol!
    PS... I love those sheets! I'm a pretty plain sheet type a girl, for the most part (small vintagey type flowers is ok, too), but I need queen 😉

      Pudgy Picker Lol, thanks for responding! I actually saw that vid the following morning! I was like, ooh no, I left the comment on the vid, but I figured the channel owner prob sees it anyway, even if later deleted, so u just left it. I'm glad you were able to get back some of your money, and now at least u know what they are about for yourself, and not just what is learned by watching others, so at least there is that, and the experience! Oh, and hopefully, a decent profit 😉
      I also got super excited after I seen this, as I went looking thru your channel bc I saw vids that say 2 sisters and a booth, or something like that, lol, but you have a booth at an antique mall!! I do as well! I mostly put my Handmade Primitive and Rustic handmades in mine tho, only bc I love vintage and antiques, so when I do find some awesome stuff, and I work at a little thrift shop, as a volunteer, one day a week, at my local council on Aging (it's the towns best kept secret, lol, all the elderly know about us, & their families, and it's in the hoity toity part of town, so awesome donations!), but I have a WICKED hard time parting with them, lol! I have had some great finds, but I end up keeping them for myself, lol! I do need to get better with my booth tho, and get out hunting more on weekends! I just never know what is sellable, and what is junk. I learned way back when I was on ebay, just bc its old, doesn't mean it sells. So, I can't wait to dive into those... I normally listen to podcasts & podcast vids, while I'm at work, so I'll be tuning in tmrw, for sure!

    Hi, loved your video. I also got sheet sets from target and they’ve all sold but one. My issue was that they cost so much to ship. So what I did was take 2-3 priority envelopes, that cost $7.70 to ship, and cut them down the sides and tape them together. So I only have to pay the $7.50 instead of $15. Or do you charge shipping. Good luck, you’ll do just fine.

    I didn’t have a good experience with BULQ. I bought a box of NEW clothes many of which were damaged (one dress had a huge rip on the front). New is supposed to have tags...so they just stapled the tags to the clothes on a couple of items. Not shady at all. 🙄.

    Hi just come across your channel.you can order on line bottles of UNDO by Aliens crafts. And it will remove stickers photos etc. and not tear up the stickers in pieces. And remove the sticky stiff off just about anything. I have been using it for years to remove photos from the magnetic albums of the old days and it does not ruin your photos! Maybe this will help on the sticky stuff and it does not leave a greasy film after used. You c an also use it to remove a stamp from an envelope and reuse it. Love watching you. Most of these people do so much messing around I get tired and stop watching. Be well.

      I was thinking the same thing when I checked out the site. That it might make good Christmas gifts & then keep or sell the rest. Really don’t think she’s going to get $20 for sheets,& $15-$20 for a blanket,sounds really expensive. Good luck to her though,genuinely.

    • @sortathesame8701

      Moments formoms, a lot of people don't like to shop around or bother to check prices so yeah, she will easily get $20-$30 for the sheets and $15 for the blankets on Amazon. Amazon has gotten very expensive, but tons of people still go there first because they think they will always get a deal.

    Hello....I had an idea for those throws or even other products that come in like that, If you or a friend is crafty you could make a gift basket set with them and add some other stuff that would go with it like a couple of candles , little soaps, cross word books & a pen / pencil / highlight marker set and maybe a little plush stuffed bear. All those little extras are cheap enough . I love things like that and so would alot of others especially if they are looking for a gift for a new Mom, a house warming party, Wedding ( you could do a Mr and a Mrs type of gift ) wrap in that Easter celafane wrap add a bow and ribbon. You could make a great amount of money off of it because you hand made it.. I'm sure you can also get Free boxes just about anywhere for shipping unless you sell them locally like in the sell and buy swap groups on Facebook. .. Just an idea for you or anyone for that matter. T.F.S. your video it was very interesting.

    Anyone know if there is any website like bulq (or unclaimed baggage type auctions, storage containers etc) in the UK that takes orders similarly in such an easy and open way? Whenever I last tried looking there didn't seem to be anything like that.
    Interesting video - thanks for sharing what you got! :)
    I wonder how you are getting on with selling it? (I don't know whether I'd be able to hold onto it all long enough depending on how much time is needed to sell everything due to my own living arrangements and other people in the house who wouldn't be - and aren't! - happy with me having such things around)

    Those throws are absolutely gorgeous! I'm over here like..."which one do I want to buy?" Haha. I say sell them on Poshmark. I'd pay between $30 and $40 for one...so long as the pictures showcased how beautiful they are. Plus, I'm not a rose gold/pink fan, but I think that one would sale first on the right platform. It goes with the whole "glam" look that a lot of the younger TH-camrs are currently liking. I personally say brown or gray for me. :) tfs!

    I've never heard of Bulq, not even sure why several videos came up in my Suggested list when I've not watched anything similar to these - but it was cool watching it :) If I bought and resold like you and the others I've watched, I'd never make anything too many things I've seen in these boxes (from the few I've watched) I'd want to keep for myself Like when you pulled out the bathroom rug , I was like man I need that mine is literally falling apart sheets - don't need full sized sheets have a few - but it would be " man i could keep this as a back up" because you know 5 others just isn't enough back up lol But I may have to go browse the site just for something to do, it's Saturday evening, and I'm bored :D
    The throws that were not packaged, looks like customers just opened them in the store to see what it fully looked like and instead of taking the time to put it back how it was when they got it, they just tossed it on the shelf and walked off, and the employees won't take the time to refix it, so when they get pulled the ribbon/packaging gets lost so they just toss them in the box. They did not look to be actually used what so ever, just inconsiderate customers at the department store!

    • @PudgyPicker
      @PudgyPicker  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you stopped in to watch my video! • @212davisesq

    I don't what I don't understand is that if you buy a box and make $20-30 bucks...is it really worth your time? You have to list it, time and cost, it just doesn't seem like its worth it. Can you post what happened when you contacted bulq about the throws? I would love to also hear how you did on the % of sales with the items. Lastly, it may sound mean but I am being honest, I don't think it is right for you to buy ribbon from the store to make it appear as the original packaging just because bulq did not send it to you.

    • @PudgyPicker
      @PudgyPicker  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did a Part 2 to this video, so check that out. As in any sourcing you have to do your research. I did mine on these 2 boxes and was satisfied that I would make a decent profit. As far as the ribbon is concerned the blankets were marketed to me and by inspection were new. Choosing to wrap them up with ribbon isn't dishonest in my oppinion, I didn't generate or print tags or alter the blankets in anyway. TFW!.

I ordered a variety of boxes from the web sight and know exactly how much each size box will cost to mail. I add that to the going price and offer free shipping. Customers seem to like not having to worry about shipping fees.

    Very interesting! I clicked through their website the other day and was underwhelmed between the cost of the boxes and how many awful boxes I seen when I was scanning. Literally dozens full of Christmas stuff. It looks like your going to double your money with this stuff which isn't too bad, but then considering it is long-tale items it makes it less appealing. I will be anxious to hear/see your follow up video and subsequent sales updates on this stuff. The main reason that stopped me from giving this a go is the idea that I'm buying someone else's "duds". That's awful about the missing ribbons. I know how you love your projects though! LOL.
