I am fan of both AaB and Seattle Sounders and it was fun to finally see both teams against each other. I see you did some research on AaB and great job on that, but next time go into further detail. We are a sleeping giant in Danish football who unfortunately were relegated due to poor administration and terrible decisions. We were instantly promoted a year after our relegation which wasn't surprising but yet a great achievement and statement due to the competition in the 2nd tier. The Danish Superliga is currently the 15th best league in the entire of Europe with more teams competing internationally. Sounders is one of the strongest sides in the entire MLS and is considered as title contenders every single year compared to AaB. If you look on other matchups between MLS teams and Danish Superliga teams, then you will see that the MLS is getting humbled time after time against Danish teams and those are the top teams. If we focus again on AaB then you will know it is the first season back into the top tier, where the goal is to secure survival in the league while still being competitive. For a Seattle Sounders perspective it might be a "disappointing win" due to how AaB is looking on paper but if you do some actual research, then you would consider it a great win for the Sounders because of how American teams usually struggle against Danish teams. From an AaB perspective, I am beyond satisfied with the first half where we match up a strong Sounders side but got humbled in the second half, and in the end "only" lost 3-5. I hope that provides some good insight to whether this should be considered a good job by the Sounders, because I believe that match was good for both sides.
@ I’m saying both teams are a joke on the global scale, but Americans see a European team and assume a victory over them is some sort of amazing feat. Beating the 9th place team of the 15th best league in Europe isn’t anything to write home about. But dumb Americans think it is, and this is why we will never win a World Cup, the standards of the general fan base are pathetic.
