Not only as a singer, but also as a person. In 2018, be carried the weight of the world - as every person he met had a story about how that album helped them or reminded them of their own parents’ deaths. Great guy. I do wish that he got more recognition for his work.
Myles Kennedy is the greatest living rock vocalist imo. One of the greats and deserves to be spoken of with the same reverence as Layne, Cornell, Mercury, Plant and Buckley.
An amazing talent. It always saddened me when people bring up the best vocalists and he's never mentioned. Great tone, agility, and hits notes live. Deserves more praise and recognition than he has. A great video always, mate.
Thank you so so SO much for doing a video on Myles! He is my favorite singer ever and is painfully underrated and deserves so much recognition for his talents.
You know why Myles Kennedy is underrated even though he is one of the best? Look at his songs he sang, its not about doing drugs, praising alcohol, objectifying women, cuss words, sexual words, making people more depressed or giving more reason for anxiety. No, Myles Kennedy songs are all about love, love that is slowly loosing it's value, songs about the departed, songs about motivation, it's all about positive vibes.
You should do more videos about Myles, he's great! The outro of the song "reigns over me" (it's an unreleased song that can only be found on youtube) by The Mayfield Four is genuinely some of the most impressive vocal work I have heard, ever.
Freddie Cornell than Myles he's the one that has the skillet as well as conveys the emotions in his voice as well And Edge(WWE) introduced me to him but now he's one of my favs
Listen to the first scream in the demo version of Bottom by Tool. Around 1:10-1:30 in the song. He belts the note, then somehow pushes the rasp further and increases pitch by a few semitones. I think you’d love it. Maynard deserves another series. The Grudge scream in the last 1/3 of the song is iconic as well
He's good,no doubting that at all! Clearly though u never did a segment on Miljenko (Mike) Matijević from STEELHEART, or even Mark Slaughter from SLAUGHTER. U wanna hear true perfection, u listen to those
please please please!!!!! Do urself and everyone in this channel a BIGGGG Favour by listening to the legendary underrated lead guitarist/lead vocalist "Ian Thornley from Big Wreck". Myles adores him and has also sung with him in one album. Listen to, Million Days, Albatross, Wolves, Beano, War Baby and the great song Useless. Best songwriter of today and last 15 years+. myles wud agree and devin townsend considers their first album as the best Canadian rock album everrrr, he tweeted that once. Dont miss out on this legend. at 50, Hes better than cornell with all due respect.
Myles Kennedy is very underrated
Best living singer according to me..
@@dusermiginte4647 Yes, i tottaly agree, and it is not even exaggerated. He just is.

DIO, M Shadows?
Nope. He’s great but there’s other great voices out there.
Dan Vasc is also awesome! He has a rich and deep voice with an amazing range. He can sing any genre of music.
@@ErickMyers.dio is not living
@@tones4429 I know, but if he's going to talk about the best singers who have passed away he has to include Dio in the conversation.

Why everyone has the right for their opinion even if you disagree
@@Bryan-wu1ss It's normally because a lot of people don't actually know him as much as he's deserved to be known

I have to hear his voice every day. His voice is so beautiful as his presence is also at ease.
Thought as much as the live version of ‘Words darker than their wings’ would be there

Good point. And he is also not an egotistical jerk like many lead singers out there, so he flies under the radar

Myles Kennedy can make a song by singing a phone book and he still sounds awesome. The man should be a legend in the business
Nice
The lines aren’t impossible, it just takes good technique, good practice, and often a good vocal teacher.
Well, singing like him I may let every single regular women fall in love with my voice. Singing like that could be irresistible!

Myles and Chris Cornell are my all time fav will always have a special place in my heart
The only thing is that it is not a Bel canto singing. However, I completely agree on his capabilities. He is definitely a true legend!
I really dont think ive ever seen a male vocalist who's as accurate live as Myles is. Hes on a different level ( Hard Rock category)

Is there a link to the original video for the performance @ 1:16 ?
I would like him to do a version of Iron Maiden's Hallowed be Thy Name.
What performance was that that you showed after the spot 2 graphic?
Where did you find that clip at 0:15?
When is the live also the time
Give me the Slash solo albums with Myles Kennedy over GnR any day.
