What an amazing journey in all the areas of Pakistan so far. I’ve always wanted to visit Shanghai La so I’ll be sure to catch Part 9 too. Just curious about how long this complete trip was?
@sally_forth Thanks, Sally. We spent just shy of 3 weeks in Pakistan. Umar did such a great job planning everything, and it truly was an amazing journey!
Absolutely gorgeous location! Oh I would have loved to be here. So many people (in the west at least) think of either the American Southwest or the Sahara when they hear the word "desert" but there is a staggering diversity in the appearance, ecology, and geography of deserts all around the world and this is a great demonstration of such! (Though don't think I didn't notice that "coldest desert" line at 25:06 ;) , technically the Antarctic Polar Desert is the coldest. Bonus fact, if you had said oldest then that would also be incorrect as the oldest extant desert on the planet is the Namib which has been arid for 55 million years and semi-arid for 80 million years).
@Primordial_Soup you caught me! Naturally when I spoke of "deserts" I was referencing the typical sandy desert. Also, I was just rehashing what the wiki page said. Thanks for the clarification!❤️❤️

Which application are you using for Maps? It's not Google maps I can tell
I use the Google Earth website on my laptop, it lets you do projects and slideshows which I screenshot
@flightofthecrowswing maybe it's commercial version.

Thanks, it was fun to put together, the song in that section is aptly named “Danse of questionable tuning “ by Kevin MacLeod.

Your son in law is Pakistani
Yes he is
@flightofthecrowswing not a strange thing but that is happening rarely
It should happen more commonly, he is a real gem!
@@flightofthecrowswing i also support marriages between different countries, my fiance Julia is American and she lives in California
Wellcome to pakistan
