None of the abrams in game have DU inserts or DU rounds (because gaijin “balance”), so the ones in the US tree are basically export tanks, especially because they get gimped ammo wise, better ammo and armor would take the abrams to real life effectiveness, but instead, gaijin’d

fun fact, none of the abrams have their DU armor inserts, in fact, they're missing so much armor that the driver only has 30mm of steel on the top, this can be seen on all top tier abrams. you can even see in the x-ray that the HC has the same amount of armor has the normal m1a1. not to mention that all M829 shells are missing anywhere from 50mm to almost 200mm of pen...
Got any sources to back that up? Maybe make a bug report on it.

@@TheJessecarpenterIt’s pretty obvious when all Abrams have the same exact armor even though the upgraded models should have better armor because of DU inserts. No one knows how much the values should be but it’s stupid how Gaijin will randomly make up values for every top tier MBT and then just buff Russian ones with 0 proof and leave western tanks in the dust because they say there’s no credible evidence.
@cuhyotepowered1201 all of the abram's dont have the same armor tho? The first one has around 350mm effective on the turret, the m1a1 has aroind 450mm effective on the turret and the m1a2 and m1a1 hc both have around 670 or so mm of protection on the turret.
As for the hull, the m1 normal has around 300mm and the rest if them above that have I think around 350 to 400mm for the hull front.
To be fair its more of a game balance decision. Abrams are already quite good as is.

Another great feeling is getting a tank that is better than everyone but then a 15cm tank destroyer from a battle rating of 1 kills you. That’s how I felt in a T-34
Word of advice: If you want to grind for the APFSDS shell in any new top their tank you get, and you don't want to suffer a lot with HEAT, play Assault Ground Battle.

the M830a1 rounds are HEAT-VT fused shells doesn't say on the statcard anywhere, but if you lase a heli with it fuses to the ranging, might be useful, might not be
Abrams tanks past 10.7 are much worse than competitors (so past IPM1 really), which wont change because apparently Gajin doest want to add m829a3 and m829a4, and upper front plate of abrams is a joke.

@@baero5 Debatable. For sure any NATO tank would curb stomp the RU tanks but the T90M. Abrams, Leo, Chally, Leclerc would all have their own "niche" and all would be very very strong. Its not just the Abrams thats not correct. Leo would be more than a match for it and the Chally should be much more survivable than both of em. I dont know much about the Leclercs but i assume the French produce better tanks than Russia. If only the game would be a NATO power fantasy not a Russia power fantasy the game would be much more balanced..

Even with the upgraded turret, I rarely enjoy the abrams due to the low survivability it has. The hull is paper, and the breech is the size of the moon. The gun is good, but it's neither special in it's performace or unique in shell availability.

Just remember, in 1991, the M1 Abrams, with its 105mm gun, was able to destroy T72 tanks at 1km, by shooting through their frontal turret armor because they were hull down in prepared positions...

Spent hundreds of hours just to get tanks that are dogshit in game. Everyone in the world must knkw that Abrams are claimed to be the most protected and survivable tanks in the world unlike in the game. First of all, every shell that penetrates spall like absolute monster even if it has kevlar that should prevent it . M1A2 and M1A2 SEP lacks DU in the hull. The UPF is very weak , unimaginably. I tried to not mention APFSDS problem in russian tanks but I will , the M829A2 which was specifically designed and manufactured to encouner and destroy russian tanks equipped in Kontakt-5 era is easily eaten by eat , not to mention that fuel tanks absorbs dart like nothink or dont spall at all inside russian vechiles. I can bring up my latest experience , I shot bvm in side point blank with m829a2 and nothing happend, like if I would never have fired , I shot T80UK in ammunition and it didn't detonate. I really love Abrams tanks but Russian bias and unbearable matchmaking does make me insane . Im literally insane. Btw I love Shawshank Redemption its my favourite movie
