Another beautiful adventure. That is an amazing canyon and the flute gave it a great aura. It's pretty cool the flute guy agreed to be in the video. Also, just yesterday I saw Trek Planner give you a good shout out! You are gaining subs pretty fast I see, by summer you will be over 10k or more. Thanks for bringing us there with you.
New subscriber here. I was sent over by Jeff at The Trek Planner. That flute music added such an amazingly beautiful vibe to the whole video. So glad he agreed to let you include him. This was awesome.
What did I think? Lemmytellya... You're WAY beyond your years. Compositionally, what (and how you've shot) is photographically (okay, yeah, 'video graphically', but anyone with eyes and a brain who isn't able to isolate stop flow instances of a pan or of a sequence) as astute as the most seasoned of 'pros' who shoot for either love or money. Archaeologically, while you may not have the credentials (real or imagined) that many possess, what (and how) you observe and assess is spot on. Neither of these --in neither the visual/graphic sense nor the lack of 'many years in the field' aspects sense-- is in any sort of evidence. I am in awe. You're a natural.
The flute music is beautiful in this video just makes seeing the ruins more interesting! Enjoyed this video also, and as always, please stay safe when you are out there and thanks for taking us along.
Thank you! yes lots more content on the way. Feel free to check out my other videos, there were a few from the same area, and lots more from various places.
Excellent video. So interesting with the flute, the environment and the commentary on ancient sites. I really like that you point out to be respectful of hy sites and artifacts. Thx so much for taking us along!
Loved it! Your filming and your explaining everything along the way is Absolutely the best! Wow imagine how long those rock structures have been there! They're So beautiful. Do you ever see any land turtles or reptiles when exploring? Please tell Miguel that I loved the flute music! Thank you, stay safe and blessings!
No, we had not seen seen land turtles in these elevations. We do see lots of snakes and lizards though, but they are entering hibernation now, so probably not many until next April. I showed some snakes in my previous videos and also my favorite guys, the horned lizards. They are very active May to September. Here is a short I made on them: th-cam.com/users/shortssWBJD7oVZPU
@@ruinsandridges Thank you I just watched it. Wow They are So cool, So beautiful!! They Really blend in to their surroundings. Thanks for showing them and telling about them! Blessings bro!
Enjoyed your video and commentary. Beautiful canyon. Surprised how high the tree line goes. The music by Miguel is outstanding and really enhances the viewing experience. Good job!
Good Awesome day, I enjoy your adventures and your journey, love your narration, your respect for all you Do, Thank you Awesome. Beautiful place you go.
As a young man about your age in the early 1960’s, nearly everyday after school, I would head into the desert on my bicycle with my dog Boo Boo trailing behind me. Those hours spent exploring and learning set me on a course to become a geologist. I found many sites with evidence which indicated where early indigenous peoples had lived in the Las Vegas , Nevada area. I’ve visited Red Rock Canyon many times. Good luck to you! I enjoyed your video, subscribed, and will follow your channel.
Scouting platforms for security, grain/food/silage storage warehouses, and decentralized and distributed housing locations. Potential livestock rock corals for small livestock (sheep, goats).
Nice job of touring these structures and noting how they were probably connected in purpose. It would have been interesting to see what there was further up that these defensive posts were protecting. Some great scenic shots! 😁👍
Water filled the canyon, up to near the walls, when they were built. Water levels were falling, but storms still produced large amounts of water, in brief periods of time, so the walls kept the water out. Undoubtedly, there was seepage, but it beat the alternative. The stones were intricately interlocked, to withstand the force of water rising above the base. The walls of the canyon show the effects of massive amounts of water flowing rapidly, at lowering levels, with some of them being pushed out of alignment with their surroundings.
What do you think of this adventure? Thank you for watching!🙂

Somehow every ruin looks unique. Yes?
Yes, they definitely are all very different and unique, and yet many features are the same.

You missed a few good ones in that canyon. There’s another cool one on the east side, and another one about 700 feet up in the fork to the west.
Yes, I know, we ran out of daylight, so there will be part 2!
So at the 14:00 minute mark, is a mushroom shaped rock pillar. What's at the top? I can see stones up there, possibly a structure of some sort.
I think it's natural, but thank you for pointing it out 🙂
Decent snake gaiters $80. Anti-venom vials and 10 days in ICU -- $150,000.
Thanks!
The "mystical" music has to go...makes the video creepy
Thank you for your feedback.
Strongly disagree. The music is enchanting!
