I love how the left wing coalition includes self-proclaimed communists and socialists but still isn’t called far-left
Because it also includes social-democrats
Maybe because our communists are reformists communists putting them closer to the PS, the social democratic party.
Obviously the Macronites are running scared.
Running back home… socialism!
Now, we know, their secret affiliations… ‘centrists’ 😂
@@assafnaor5752 just running back home… the left 😉

Yep! If the Left & Centrists block Le Pen from winning this election. Are they no better than non western civilized democracies ? 🤔

Let the people decide with their vote and accept the choice of the people. Why try to manipulate the will of the people!
Out of the Dem playbook. Dont follow rules if you are losing.
What manipulation are you talking about?
You mean the far right manipulating the plebs…
Nothing says “democracy” like trying to block, ban or exclude your political opponents.
Stop using "far right" it's dumb and people know it.
Far left and the left got together to block the right, I get it.
@mrtee3477 that's democracy, forming coalitions. Anyhow what policies has the far-right to offer, besides divisiveness and love to hate? Brexit was totally achieved by lies and xenophobic fearmongering, no difference here.
@@jaaksavat7916
It’s not a buzzword to realize that the influx of people coming to your country on boats, changing your culture, harming your people, and overwhelming resources are bad. It’s a major issue and French people clearly care about it. If the left proves that they can’t deal with it properly then naturally people will gravitate towards the right as to hope for solutions.
Nice anti democratic backdoor solution... Where is EU and their "democratic" standards they accused Poland was lacking for years? This is pure example that EU is not about democracy but left wing empire with slaves being told how to live.
This is not Democracy.🤷♂
People still have the right to vote. So it is democracy.
@henryyeoh8610 People only have the right to vote for candidates the higher authority allowed. This is no difference from Iran.
@@goliathdelaru8560comparing Iran’s theocracy to France’s democracy? Ok… back to school!
Western democracy, doctored to fit a given narrative
@@goliathdelaru8560people can still vote for RN if they like it so much. But 67% did not vote for them and they are not the absolute majority, that we have the choice to vote for a pluralist coalition representing over half of the voters is pretty much as democratic as it gets 😊 Acting like these 33% are the silent majority and deserve more than half of the seats regardless of how much the rest of the people reject them would be a bit dishonest, don’t you think?
This is vote rigging, the people of france have the right to elect who really represent them
No, this perfectlt legal. If National Rally is what majority wants, then they have nothing to worry about.
How is it vote rigging? Just admit you don't understand how elections work.
How is this democracy when you are pretty much telling the voters what is good for them?
How was the French Revolution not a good thing
because it is a well known fact that many people do not know what is good for them.
How? 😂😂
They can still vote for the right
Isn't that the main job of politics in democracy?
Because the voters are dumb they can't think for themselves.
So France doesn’t allow the people to decide by the vote.
Clearly you don't understand the basics of what a democracy is and how elections work.
Who said that ?

@@azurebadger not sure ehat you are talking about "sensible definitions" 😉
@@MarincaGheorghe simply that there is in fact an issue with the way this is playing out. And it isn’t ‘normal’. You’ll have to observe the issues with the ‘left’ ‘right’ paradigm itself. An invention of Rousseau who directly informs and founds the principles still circulating in the left. Long story. It refers to political theatre. And what is deemed evil by all you could vote for outside of the ‘far’ ‘right’, is national identity, culture, and ethnicity. That script has been running on the last 3 generations at least in full effect. And it is only since 2013 that the public zeitgeist began formulating its belief system on that exact theater without external reference, the desired effect in the end as planned.
There is much to say, but say ng his statement is without merit ignores that macron and all european ‘centrists’ for the last 2 decades have implemented the far left’s plan while pretending weren’t. Did you notice? Of course not. And those who know better are meanwhile demonized in society, and the political stage. We know which direction that flowed now yes? Europeans are the only people on this planet doing it by the way.
Because what they have always intended is tye end of your way of life, and its conversion to a completely different set of operating principals. Do i also have to articulate the precise propositions of the differing philosophies in play here? How deep does your knowledge go? Have at it
So choosing to stand or not is not democracy. Interesting
In the districts where the CENTRIST dropped out it is NOT certain those voters will go left. Half will probably go right so the strategy likely won't work.
its not Centrist its also far left they just call it centrist
People get tired of politics when they don’t get anything done for them

Save French, Vote Le Penn.....
This is not manipulation… sure
So you have for example candidate A and voters who want A 45%, candidate B and Voters B 35% , candidate C and Voters who want C 20%.
So majority 45% want A. But C remove himself in favor of B. Voters that actually want C vote for B against A.
The result of this procedure will be victory of B with 55%.
*Which means that winner will be candidate that is not wanted by majority A or group C….*
I see a problem here
In your example 55% of people would rather have B than A which is the will of the majority how is this an issue?
Yes the problem is election interference. Ignoring what the majority of the French population want is not democracy.
@OddzAre in my example *C* dont receive what they actually want and dont let *A* have it. Isnt it “lose-lose” situation?

I don't live in France but I wouldn't be surprised if the people who voted Centrist in round 1 end up voting RN in round 2 when their candidate drops out and those who voted NFP in round 1 will just abstain from voting in round 2 if their candidate drops out.
