Hands down one of the finest shows I have ever seen. While a lot of people I know and watch on TH-cam do nothing but praise Breaking Bad (as they should, it's a good show), Sons of Anarchy will always be my favorite show. It was more than a tv show with bikers, drug dealers and paramilitary nutjobs, it was a show about family both blood and chosen, and the lengths one will go to protect them, and how that doesn't always play out for the best. But Jax rolled with the punches as best he could and did his best to fix whatever he broke, and to me he is the gold standard of a flawed protagonist. RIP Jax.
Its amazing how this series plot is in the end a modern Hamlet. If we think about the characters and the events the whole thing really fits. I have always had mixed emotions of Jax and now I understand why. When we read Hamlet in college I really disliked Hamlet because he destroyed everyone he loved and when you think about Jax destroyed most of the people he loved as well.
Just watched the final season of SOA in German TV a week ago... still moved by the ending! What a wonderful show, what an amazing cast... I'm glad I didn't miss a single episode. Thank you very much for this wonderful video and this amazing song! It almost made me cry (a second time)! :'-)

SOA is the "Metaphor of My Middle Age". Jax encapsulates me - especially in his final words to his father at the rock before his final ride. I'm sure Kurt was not lofty when his pen went to the paper and crafted this perfect masterpiece, but his canvas unbeknownst to him is my biography. I'm a timid, cowardly nearly 50 y/o divorced father of 2 still in love with my ex-wife, gay man who is scared to death of motorcycles, guns, gangs, drugs, and violence, but THIS SHOW is the most spectacular work of art I've ever watched...7 seasons binged in 10 days and I will be watching several more times once my Gift Set arrives. Best Series Ever. Hands down.
I agree-it's a true masterpiece. I watched the entire series in 5 days-couldn't do anything else. SOA was the best series I have ever seen. I can't stop thinking about it. The only thing I found difficult to watch were the torture scenes-Bobby, OMG and had to fast forward it. I wonder if it would be so appealing if someone less hot had played Jax. But I'm glad he did.....I thought the ending was perfectly done. Jax was filled with too much self-loathing to continue on in this world. Some people think of him taking the cowardly way out but what other choice did he have at that point-either get shot or give himself up and die in jail. He wanted to go out on his own terms. I already miss it and will watch it again on Amazon Prime but I'm emotionally drained from watching it. Everyone involved did an incredible job. Hope to see more from Sutter.
That was a mouthful. I too binged and watched seasons 1-7 in several days. All I could say at the end was WOW. While I would not consider this the greatest series ever I would defiantly give it the runner up spot. The Sopranos is by far the greatest series ever put on TV. Without the Sopranos there would be no SOA, BreakingBad, Mad Men and Boardwalk Empire. Next time you feel like binging pick up that Sopranos box set. SOA was amazing work. I can't wait for the box set myself.

you could see all the emotion from the actors, i bet most of them were pretty sad about the show ending and portrayed there feelings through the show e.g juice and jax in jail
I am 3 years late on Sons never had the chance to watch Binged the whole series in a month some stuff I missed some stuff I had to go back online and read.. however the season finale I think was the most depressing ending to a series ever. I'm glad I binged and dident follow from day one.. It was a lot more depressing then Glenn on Walking dead. Hell on Wheels ended happy I wish Jax could have lived happy ever after with his kids and Wendy.
