I'm confused. Google says that Longyearbyen is the northernmost town in the world, but i checked Google Maps and it said that Ny-Ålesund is the northernmost town. Why does Google say that it's Longyearbyen?
Certainly a landscape to be inspired, but give me equatorial 90 degrees and some vitamin D.
Indeed, it's a beautiful place, but it is not the Northernmost settlement on earth. There is another one, called Alert in Canada, located at 82°29′56″N 62°21′09″O, permanently inhabited. It’s the most inhabited town in Europe though!
