Good to recognise a few places from that walk. It's nice to walk from the house sometimes, we're lucky enough here in South Wales that you can get out into fairly remote areas quite easily, even living in the Valleys.
We must always never take what we have on our doorstep for granted!! It's easily done but as I often say, many people come on holiday to where we live!
Thanks Dave. I have to confess that I found it more challenging, particularly as I only record with a phone. The music does hide so much!! Thank you for your lovely compliment.
That's great to hear Andy. Thanks for the feedback mate. It was certainly more challenging and I tried to capture the sounds of nature but it's so much harder with a mobile phone than proper equipment. So pleased that you enjoyed it!
Thank you, thank you, thank you , I really enjoyed the video without music. The only other person that I have come across doing videos this way is Chris Hazard (TheHikingGuy)
Hi John. So pleased that you enjoyed it. Music hides so much wind noise that woukd otherwise be unbearable. It was very challenging at times making clips that could be used. I might try doing this again. Thanks for commenting.
Having walked the southern half of the Offa's Dyke path a couple of weeks ago it was nice to see these parts again in this video. You made a good sound-scape without music and it was really enjoyable to watch, although I wonder whether it would be more difficult if the wind got up!
Hi Catherine. Thanks so much for the feedback. The wind is always the issue and music hides a variety of errors! So pleased that you enjoyed seeing parts of the ODP that you've walked recently. I'm lucky having it on my doorstep.
Still trying to make friends with bovines I see?!!!! 😂 Great video & some familiar scenes - thank you for sharing. I like it without the music; we get to hear the sounds of your surroundings (wind in the trees, running water, animals etc) which makes it a more immersive experience 👍🏻🙂. Looking forward to the Kanter!!
What a relaxing episode Dave. Works well without music as you have a very personable presentation and always give great informative chat on your route Funny you should mention the Kanter, I found my question sheet for the one I did a few years ago. What wood did you camp in? Seems the pins have been getting lots of sun this summer mate, tanned or what 😀 I have just ended my sub with epedemic sound as I can't see me doing any videos for the foreseeable so it was just a waste keeping the subs up. I walked up the path towads the Rholben yesterday after parking at the small car park nr the St Mary's Vale entrance - was thinking about the time I met you & Claire up there. Having some knee probs these days so just short walks when I get out, not helping carrying heavy camera equipment again - I never learn..lol. atb Al PS Cracking autumnal image at the end.
Thanks Al. Really appreciate the feedback. I found it more challenging without music as the music can hide so much erroneous noise! Despite your creaking knees, I do hope that you're tempted to have a another crack at the Kanter. It's yet another new route that I've put together! I camped in Highbury Wood which the ODP passes through and it was very peaceful indeed. I thought I might hear stags rutting but not this time. Heard a couple of foxes early evening but after that it was silent. Yes, the legs are quite brown after the trips that I had this year. I think I'll stay in the UK next year and tackle some of our own long distance paths! Can't say I blame yo regarding the sound sub. I pay for PowerDirector on my phone but as it's cheap I don't mind paying quarterly. If and when I stop making videos, that will be binned! We must get out this autumn and you can teach me how to take photos again!!
Very enjoyable did not miss the music
Thanks Smoggie. Really appreciate the feedback and also pleased that you enjoyed the video.

A lovely relaxed video Dave and I certainly enjoy any style video from people I like, people that enjoy the countryside like youself.
🍻👍

@@morgs4mountains I used a lot of music in my last video because I had mic problems and it was very windy. I can never seem to get the sound right.😂
Musis has been my saviour on many an occasion Dave. Most of my mountain walks couldn't be made without music due to the wind noise!!
Another enjoyable video, as we've come to expect. I didn't miss the music; if anything, the lack of it made me focus more on the video.

Cheers Clare. Thanks for the feedback on the music / no music. Yes, a lovely friendly bunch of bovine lads. Very keen to say hello!! 😂
Very happy to have no music.
Thanks for the feedback!!

I like the music, but it's not important
Thanks for the feedback Enric.
No need for music
Thanks for the feedback Bob.
