PLEASE REACT TO "SPIRIT: STALLION OF THE CIMARRON"! It's a story about a strong, beautiful horse with a spirit that can never be broken. I cry every time I watch it! It's a INCREDIBLE film, and the songs are so cool! But it's not a musical and the animals can't talk. 😭💔🔥

Fun fact: Barry Keoghan marked his script Oliver #1, Oliver #2, Oliver #3 and so on earmarking & representing the different psycho Oliver's needed. Genius. Some of the shots looks like paintings. Everybody thinks the maths genius is the crazy one at the beginning but it's Oliver that's the real psychopath! The trailer also misleads you and gives nothing away. The film is a masterpiece in lies, greed, envy, psychology, power, obsession, desire, classism, revenge, deception & manipulation. This movie should win so many awards- especially for the cinematography, the soundtrack, wardrobe/costume design, the set design etc... but it won't because of how uncomfortable some of the scenes are.

I love that when Oliver threw the stone Felix gave him and it landed in vomit instead of the lake foreshadows that Ollie's dad was alive, Felix being too curious about Ollie's family life and asking him follow up questions in that one scene shows how Felix is drawn to in a sense 'broken individuals'. he has a saviour complex in a way- he stopped being interested in Ollie when he got upset at him for trying to clean his room, but as soon as Ollie comes to him in tears Felix cares again and even invites him to Saltburn, something Venetia points out that Ollie isn't the first 'friend' Felix has brought there- meaning it's something he always does. another thing, the infamous bathtub, I like to believe him slurping up Felix's spunky bath water is somewhat in a way saying he is drinking Felix's essence 'like a Vampire', that's why he suddenly has this confidence when he goes seeking out Venetia (at least that's how I interpreted that scene) during his birthday when he was having an argument with Felix he tells him every lie he told Felix was to get him interested, that Ollie was playing a role for Felix just like everybody else around him because he knew he'd become like Pamela if Felix got bored of him- they'd kick him out of Saltburn and Felix would just move on and find the next guy to 'Save'. also going back to the scene of Felix and Ollie hanging out and Ollie points out how Felix's room is so dirty and tries to clean it, something that deeply angers Felix. why? because Felix doesn't like people pointing out his own flaws and imperfection; why clean when he literally has a butler and servants 'secretly' cleaning up his messes for him and it angered Felix that Ollie pointed out his messes.
Oh and also if you noticed that Bull statue shows up an awful lot throughout the movie; first time I noticed it was it being a drawing on a restaurant board menu outside the bar Ollie went to to spy on Felix after their fight, second time was during his outside conversation with Elspath and the third time was when Felix died looking down at Felix's dead body- I like to think that Minotaur statue represents Ollie in a way
And that's my take on the movie! Sorry for the Trauma Mell and give your editor a raise!🤣🤣
quick edit; I just remembered. When they were having breakfast Venetia was telling the tale of the maid seeing her bosses doppleganger in the window but turns out she was on the secondfloor and the person she saw had died- if you pay close attention you will see Felix's doppleganger passing by the window dressed in the same pink shirt he was wearing at the breakfast table- foreshadowing his death

It’s funny cause the Starbucks boycott is fake. It came out that Starbucks isn’t even in Israel and they don’t even invest in the the war they actually donated money to Palestine but do you see how people ran with it like sheep online come together off some stupid shit that ain’t real like some witch hunt. Dumb as hell mello was absolutely right ! Instead y’all are gullible and believe everything you see online we have over a million children starving right now in the US where is the protest on that ? People are voting against their own interest in the US it’s crazy how people bitch and moan about their struggle but continue to vote against their own interest sad humans are so pathetic with their hypocrisy lack of accountability their lies their arrogance

  • @deadsetondreams1988
    @deadsetondreams1988 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

1st Barry Keoghan, Oliver, wearing the antlers toward the end was a perfect nod to his initial breakout role. Which was a film called The Killing of a Sacred Deer which I recommend watching, if you ever get a chance.
2nd Archie Madekwe, Farleigh's, favorite scene to film was them doing karaoke. To bond with one another the cast stayed and the 'Saltburn' estate and sang karaoke a bunch. Which is too wholesome. He was also Simon in Midsommar, in case you didn't recognize him in this.
3rd Thank you for that insight at the end, my goodness did I agree! My most recent example was a child, who said they were 12, they mentioned crying over something. When someone trying to insert their own naivety said, "What do you have to cry about at that age." Paraphrasing but that was essentially what they said. People invalidate and add negativity towards stuff they have absolutely no knowledge of. As if they know what goes on in a stranger's life better than the person themselves. It's disturbing and delusional.
I've seen examples of everything you spoke about. People complaining about celebrities not saying who they side with in the war. Complaining they aren't donating their money to certain causes and beyond. For example, Kobe Bryant's wife was getting complained about because she didn't donate her money for something. I constantly have to remind people that they don't know what celebrities (and internet personalities and strangers in general) do in their spare time. I have to say things like, "Do you know what their bank account looks like?" "Do you know what their schedule looks like?" "Are you their family member or personal friend?" I didn't think so! You don't know them and you only see snippets of them put online/ promotional interviews typically. You are with them 24/7 behind the scenes watching how they spend their money. The number of times that needs to be sad is pathetic.
Too many people are taking what THEY PERSONALLY experience and think that their way of living is the standard for everyone! "Because I would act this way in this scenario that means everyone must do the exact same." In their tiny bubble, they don't realize different people experience things differently. Whether they come from a different social class, a different geographic location, even if they come from a different school district the next county over. Whether they live with their mom, their dad, their grandparents, or were kicked out of the house. Everyone is different, and the fact that people don't realize this is ridiculously dense.
One of my favorite celebrities who does A LOT of advocacy and uses their platform to bring attention to racial, economic, and geographic inequality issues has been getting hit with, "I used to like you but you haven't mentioned if you side with Palestine or Israel, so I'm unsubbing from you and not going to watch any more movies you are in." type of nonsense. This celebrity literally creates documentaries for various social issues, participates in peaceful protests and rallies, and beyond. But all the good they are doing isn't enough for entitled people. It's sickening. Not everyone who donates boasts about it on the internet for likes and views to profit off of their kindness and good deeds. Some people actually understand that good deeds are supposed to be performed without trying to monetize them. Once you record yourself doing it for validation, it sometimes diminishes the entire point of charity just to help others.
I try to always say when I've had positive experiences with celebrities, because the world could use less negativity, honestly! All the negativity is just exhausting at this point.

in the beginning, Ollie was simply obsessed with Felix and his goal was to manipulate the situation to get with him. once Felix discovered that everything he'd told him was a farce, he had to pivot and ended up plotting to take Saltburn as sort of a consolation prize. the music, cinematography, acting, and story were all top-tier IMO. also, I know a lot of people hate on Farleigh but he was the only one who truly saw Oliver for who he was and in the end, was the only one of the family who got out alive. I loved this reaction, Mello. thanks! 😃

It's funny you mention the Minotaur showing up a lot. A lot of Oliver's costumes are emblematic of a devil or a Minotaur...while Felix invokes angel...or Icarus, the boy who flew to close to the sun and die.
Icarus and the Minotaur are from the same myth and it's a really interesting foreshadowing of Felix's death. It was Daedalus and Icarus trying to escape the Labyrinth together on wax wings...where the Minotaur was imprisoned and fed on young men and women.
Oliver was not lying calling himself a vampire. He consumes his victims in a way and all of the scenes where Oliver is in "power" are at night or in darkness.
As far as what he was wanting I feel like Oliver wanted Felix but when he realized that he's never going to have him, he decided to kill him and kind of consumed his life and become Felix.
I feel like Oliver kept "yes anding" his plan as his goals changed.

Ikr, that's one of things that pissed me off. I saw that trend and it literally made no sense, because once again it's people being misguided, jealous, and only doing the bare minimum. Then they think they actually smart and better than the people they're blocking.

      @Regmuslima 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

The part about the blocking as well was how quickly it all went to hell because even those outspoken about Palestine, and hsve been since october and some well befire that, were on the block list as well. Made no sense. Did more harm than good and was just an excuse to go after celebreties people already didnt like. Disgusting and sad, doing more harm like when everyone blacked out their photos during the blm protests. Not helping just hurting due to pride and selfishness. I can admit i can get wrapped up in the noise, too, but I at least try to do my due diligence before executing or supporting something. Best I can do. I love how you started talking about the movie then ended up telling everyone they suck lmao.
But I hear yeah. Canada's cost of living (even in smaller cities and towns) is comparable to New York except many of the jobs pay much lower that what you'd get in New York. There are record number of people with full time jobs now have to go to the food bank. It's scary.
But you're right, a lot of people are irresponsible with what they do have. People I know who are barely scraping by, who have access to public transportation but opt to have a car when they can't afford it. So they pay parking fees at home and at work, insurance, gas etc when they could just get a bus ticket and tough it out for awhile. And they complain how they have to keep using their credit card to cover the costs. Makes no sense. Other friends will go on shopping sprees eery few months, meanwhile tI'm here wearing my clothes until they're practically transparent before I buy new ones lol
*Don't know if it's the same for food in the USA but our grocery stores are run buy only a few companies. Some of those don't exist in certain areas of the country. So there's even less choices. I don't know why more people aren't furious about that... Currently this month a lot of us are doing a boycott for the grocery store monopoly Loblaws & Shoppers Drug Mart (pharmacy) are two major corporations run by the Weston Family (worth approximately $24 Billion dollars). They own several other grocery stores too (each with different names like 'Valumart' etc) There's not many places we can go to buy food that's not owned by the family so the only thing people can do is boycott for a month to hopefully get the message across that we're not going to tolerate high prices.
It's a whole organized movement that people were planning for months. Now the competitors are advertising, trying to take advantage and get more people to shop there. But in a country with 39 Million people this boycott is really only being done but thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands (the Reddit group has only 80k people on it).
The boycott is working...apparently they've had massive losses in sales.
But of course employees are now getting hours cut massively or laid off. Don't know what will happen after the month ends but most likely the company will just keep doing what they're doing. I'm just glad at least people attempted this and hopefully we can figure something else out. Definitely not enough people took part though.
Sorry for the rant...I'm done for now lol

Nah this video made me respect Mello even more for the way he handled the gay implications in this movie. Without hesitation, making jokes as if it were a heteronormative storyline lol

I've watched this movie 3 times (once while high ... that was an EXPERIENCE) and now I'm watching it again through you. It never gets old!
43:33 you and Billy love cussing folks out over hypothetical scenarios 😭 DANG
The rant at the end was amazing. You said everything I couldn't put into words.

Edit: I’m at the end of the video and I gotta say; I appreciate the rant. I fully agree. Everyone needs something to complain about then when they get called out they victimize themself . It’s insane

This movie is just crazy . But a similar movie theme in Parasite . Its a Korean movie really good!. you should check it out. I agree with a lot of what you said Mello , we could all do more to help others. Nobody is perfect. I don't do social media like that. A lot people on there just want to abuse and put people down but don't want to get off their backsides themselves and do anything to help others and I don't mean only financially . Anyway thanks for the reaction take care . Until the next one 💜

This movie is a lot like The Talented Mr. Ripley.
Seems like it's a story of a poor serial killer eating the rich by playing on their underestimation of him.
It's like a Charlie Manson cover of a Pulp album. Check the video for 'Common People' - lol.
Check out 'The Poughkeepsie Tapes' if you want a scary movie.
